HK and its hotels still have plenty of beers and this is the only time their high price makes sense lol. The stores still have US beers or just bring a 12pack from US, border still open if you pay the fee.

My civvie friends and workmates in TJ confirma there is still a beer shortage (akin to the US toilet paper shortage).

There is beer available but not the good or popular brands, there is aslo plenty of tequila.
