Where the hell is the money ?

It seems I started dancing TOO DAMN LATE. I started September 2019 & the most I’ve made in a week is 2500$. And that’s with a few extras. Where the hell are all the good
Clubs ? Don’t gotta comment and post stuff if you don’t want everybody to know where you work, you can message me, BUT WOMAN TO WOMAN, I feel this lifestyle is going down hill. I’ve heard stories of $1000 nights just in clubs..I’ve yet to see one without extra. WHERE ARE THEY!? I know there is still money in the clubs, but where?

I used to have $1000 nights in nyc w/o extras but a lot of the clubs closed and things not the same.

When I lived in Miami I had $1,000 nights even more . This was once or twice a week too.

Things definitely have change

What is wrong with extras?

One needs to take with a grain of salt claims that people make about how much $$$ they make - most dancers claiming astronomical figures IMO are either talking-out-of-their-ass, or maybe it was what they made on a great night once in a while.

Not saying there aren't dancers that can bank high, but it doesn't seem to be the norm that "hey I'll just start dancing and make $1K min every night if not more" - this is analogous to pro-athletes when one hears a quarterback making $25-million per year but in reality the median NFL salary is actually $850k per year but one just hears about the big salaries, so it's not as "hey I'm in the NFL I'm gonna make $25-million per year".

If you are AA, then the money is in my pocket. But, only if extras are played out.

In 1966 my parents bought us a calculator. It cost $58, now you can buy one for 5.8 cents unless its free. Dancing requitres older males with discretionary income and a lot of us havbe died off or lost interest. We have been replaced by the "woke" lol.

I second what Papi said. Take what other dancers say about their earnings with a (large) grain of salt. I was talking to a girl (Girl A) at a club, and we were discussing what we did the last time I was there - basically, there were only two girls that I got dances with Girl A and Girl B. I got a set of dances with Girl A, and for whatever reason, Girl B got more dances from me than Girl A. Afterwards, Girl B told Girl A that she had gotten $400 from me for dances. Girl A had only gotten about $100 from me. Girl B exaggerated to Girl A about what she had gotten from me by a factor of two - I had only given her $200, rather than $400. This isn't uncommon. It's the stripper equivalent of dick measuring.

You get out of something what you put into it, the girls making good money are around, but they are the same girls that would have made good money at what ever they decided to do. The big bucks in any business goes to those that diligently put in the effort and pay their dues, It ain't gonna happen overnight for most.

The reason I asked if you were AA is b/c:

1) for the most-part, although there are exceptions, the good $$$ clubs are often the upscale clubs and in many areas they don't seem to hire a lot of AAs and the few they hire often need to have a certain-look i.e. more Caucasian-features or slim-girls that are not thick - this is not universal but does seem to happen quite a bit and in some areas/cities more than others - i.e. AA girls seem to often times have a harder-time in the biz particularly w.r.t. the big-$$$ upscale clubs

2) IME, in a mixed-club, a lot of the custies seem to often go for the skinny-blond with the fake-tits - IME it seems white-custies don't go for black-girls w/ the same regularity as they go for the whitegirls (as far as I can tell)

Thus these "may" be some reasons that an AA dancer may not make as much as some white-bitches do LOL - again it's not set-in-stone but it does seem to be a factor.

@papi. You may be correct about the White guy -AA Dancer. I am white as they get and I always get my choice of HOT AA Dancers. Perhaps because all the other white guys are going for the thin white gals with bolt ons. Give me CURVY AA ALL DAY LONG!

The world is always changing, strip clubs included. From my perspective, three factors are probable contributors:

1) GPS side effects. Some girls are attempting to charge high fees for a brief ITC encounter. This drives customers away in the long run. Always remember that 3 x $200 is much more than 1 x $400. And this imbalance is made worse when the $400 sucker decides that it wasn't worth the money and spends his money elsewhere.
2) The rise of internet porn
3) Casual hookup culture, often made even easier through lots of apps and smart phone programs.

Old people are dying off faster each year. Their millennial counterparts (people like me) are less like to spend on anything much less strip clubs. Especially when for the individual, cam girls are cheaper, our hands are free, debt is at an all time high. And for us millennials that are doing fantastic, we'd rather buy nice clothes and cars, and flaunt money at a night club than the strip club. Even rappers barely go to the strip clubs. And only the most popping ones at that.

Most of your money is coming from a dying Generation. Where sex is cheaper than dances long term.

Out of curiosity, how old are these dancers you spoke with about these numbers? And how long have they been dancing.

One nice thing about stripperweb, is that year after year there is always a thread to inform you that the industry has declined. Here’s some links offered, and I purposely kept it to 2003-2005: a time period where supposedly we could have been wiping our butts with $100 bills.

As far as money making goals...it's so variable and hard to say. Here's a starting point:

How many shifts per week do you work? Do you know which shifts for your club is better than others? Don't just assume it's the late weekend night.
*For example, at the club I've worked at most recently--it was freaking trash. Full of local townies who want you to sit with them for fucking ever in a $20/dance club with no vip. (And often even less money with the half hour dance specials) When a club saturates to over 50% regs it fucking sucks. Well okay, if it's daytime I have an easier time with regs but night time and regs are the fucking worst.

How many hours are you working per shift? There's pros and cons between short and long shifts--depending on the club set up and your work style.

What is the total cost to work per shift? In other words, what is the expected house + tip out? That is already going to be a sinkhole that should be factored in ahead of time. If there's VIPs, how much money is going to be taken out?

Things that theoretical math won't take into account: stage tipping culture and number of customers who happily tip on top of dances at the end. I've noticed this kind of stuff more often outside of Texas. It's tough for me to put a finger on that kind of stuff and account for it, however. And whether it's useful to consider that kind of stuff.

The money varies by region/city/club. Have to be willing to bounce around. A lot of clubs ain't shit or they are good but hit and miss. It just depends. I'm so tired of this biz. But if you think 2500 u need extras for everywhere, think again. Anyway we spend a lot of money and a lot of trial and error bouncing around. Nobody is gonna spoon feed you unless they are your friend.

I don't think it is that hard to make money stripping. I think the money is in fact the only easy part of this biz. Literally u can be sitting or walking around and it comes to u. Most jobs u have to "work for it"...

As a business consultant, I see many opportunities for strippers to make more money. First, turn off your phone. When on stage, ask the first guy to tip you if he wants a private dance when you're done. A simple ask is not being pushy. Just be polite and fun. If the first guy says no, ask the second guy. And so on. If you finish on stage without someone taking you for a private dance, head to anyone sitting away from the rack who tipped and say "Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it. Interested in a private dance?" If that doesn't close a sale, wander around to everyone else in the club and thank them for coming in. Strike up conversation, but don't waste more than one song sitting with them before asking about private dances.

Next area of opportunity is to pretend you're happy and having a great time. Even if your life is shit in 17 different ways, you're an actress and the role is to be happy and having a great time. Then take an interest in people. Get the guy talking about himself; work, hobbies, travel, sports, whatever. We all like talking about ourselves.

Touch the guys you're talking to. It can be on the shoulder or the knee (or crotch, depending on the club and its rules). But touching even on a shoulder gets people more interested.

If you're not doing extras and a guy asks, offer to set him up with a girl who will take care of him. I've tipped for that, and maybe the extras girl tipped the non-extras girl too. I hope so.

If this advice helps you make money, send me a message offering a free dance next time I'm in your town.

It's slow EVERYWHERE. I'm in several private Facebook groups with dancers from all over the US and two global groups. Literally everyone is complaining about their clubs being slow and business being bad. It doesn't help in the immediate moment and creditors and landlords don't care about business being slow, but know it isn't just you.

Not in my area of northeast FL, at least not on Thursday through Sunday nights. The clubs have been hopping here. Same with dayshift at a couple of them.

I’ve been going to a club called Fannies in Atlanta at night. This is mainly because I have a favorite there. A lot of girls dance there because they live to the west of town and it’s the closest club. I’ve seen times when it was brutal to make money and this is includes some girls who I would normally make money. Of course the good money clubs in Atlanta have a lot of girls. It can be ok but I definitely remember when it was a lot better.
