Atlanta suburb
Smoking was already restricted by a Georgia law passed in 2005, which prohibited smoking in restaurants and bars unless minors are banned or smoking areas are in enclosed private rooms with independent air-flow systems, or outdoors. The new city of Atlanta ordinance is more restrictive by prohibiting smoking and vaping in bars and restaurants across the board and closing most loopholes. However, smoking will still be permitted in outdoor seating and serving areas of restaurants and bars.

This only applies to clubs within the city limits. Which excludes Follies. At least for the present.

Kinda unbelievable in this day and age that smoking is allowed anywhere indoors -I still gotta put up with that annoying and unhealthy shit in the Florida clubs

Michigan banned (band) smoking in bars and restaurants in 2010, but smoking continues in Detroit strip clubs. I've even complained a time or two to management, but nothing was done. It's hard to believe Detroit strip club owners would break the law.

This lion is of two minds with respect to smoking. On the one hand, I am in favor or anything you apes do to kill yourselves because it’s kind of funny to watch.

On the other hand, smoke makes my fur smell funky. And not good funky. I’m talking about bad funky like when timthelion, or timmythetard as we used to call him back in tha NC, rolled around in wildebeest shit.

I think a good compromise would be to give you apes a way to kill yourselves that doesn’t smell while you’re doing it. ROAR!!!

Even though I haven’t smoked in decades I like the outdoor smoking room setups like they have in many AZ clubs. You get a conversation w a near naked dancer in good light where it is quieter.

The penalties may indeed have an effect on whether a strip club will comply or take the fine. The Columbia SC Platinum Plus said "Fuck it" and continued to let customers smoke right up until the club closed due to a fire that destroyed the building. I used to be a smoker and was there once when the smoking police raided the place. I was in the men's room when they came in so I was unaware that they were there. There was still an ash try on my table so I lit up. About 30 minutes later a bouncer escorted me to the front lobby where myself and 8 or so other customers were issued citations for smoking. I mailed in the $25 fine.

I did raise hell with the manager for not letting us know. He apologized saying that they usually are tipped off when they are coming around. He gave me a couple of chits for free drinks. It's sister club in West Columbia still allows smoking.

When it hits Follies, think it'll stop the weed smokers? 🤣

If there is one place in ATL that really needs to go smokeless it's Follies - too small; too crowded; too smoky

Follies? Small? I realize I'm now inhabiting the deep, dark wilderness of Kentucky, but Follies doesn't seem all that small to me. Quite large in fact. It's made to *seem* smaller because of the crowd, but it's at least medium size.

Yeah - Follies is def not tiny - I'd say medium-small - but too small for the size-crowd and # of dancers - the not very big space along w/ the large crowds seems to make the smoke and the smell more concentrated

Follies is a good sized club if it wasn't packed to the gills.
