Founder - thanks for the efforts

Since 1963 ...
While it might seem like pandering, I was critical of the new site when first released, but I now want to extend credit when I think its due. The new site, (while still missing many of the features that were available in previous iterations of tuscl) finally includes some very useful features that were not in previous releases.

I am however, happy to create a list of the many (now missing) features that we enjoyed in the past but that are MIA now. You know, just in case you find you have a free weekend with nothing to do. ;-)

623 you didn't post the list, why not? I was curious to see if all the features I miss were on there.

I do like the dancer pics and the pictures tab on the home page.
Lets me check out photos from all over the site that I would have missed out on seeing had the picture tab not been there.

The main thing I miss is the contribution tabs. The previous iteration had all contributions lumped together. We previously complained about that, wanting them separated into article comments, discussion comments, review comments like it was two iterations ago. But now I see that something is better than nothing. With the new format having none, it's hard to keep track of all the places you've posted. Someone might respond to you and never get a reply because you forgot about the discussion.

Founder was probably just trying to make it more time consuming for SJG to bump his old threads

@desertscrub you don't have unlimited data on mobile? If not, you must be one of the few.

    My $0.02:

Having all the groups appear under one "discussions" listing is the single biggest improvement. It's no longer necessary to navigate through several groups to find new content.

I thought giving OPs the ability to mute posts might be abused, but it seems fine so far. Since anyone can un-mute a muted comment the rules here are actually less drastic than the "mute" and "block" features on Twitter.

...unless you happen to be the President, since the courts ruled that Trump cannot block dissenting users from posting to his Twitter feed.

Without a doubt, the best change around here has been pushing the political mud fight into a room one needn't visit.
Thank you, Founder - truly - for that.

+1 jascoi. We complained, he delivered. Thank you, Founder! This makes my experience navigating the forum at least 80% better.
