What’s the coolest street you’ve been to?

Recently I’ve been to a lot of Famous streets 6th Street, Austin, Bourbon in New Orleans, Beale in Memphis, Broadway in Nashville, Michigan in Chicago and it got me thinking what people’s favorite one is.

For me I would say my nostalgic pick is Arthur Avenue up in the boogie down because that’s where my grandma would take me and my siblings to eat growing up. Cool Italian American neighborhood with outstanding food. But I’m not sure that it’s famous enough people to know what I’m talking about. Although it is where they filmed “Bronx Tale” if you’ve seen that movie.

For a more famous pick to me I was deciding between Sunset in LA, Fremont in Vegas or Bourbon Street in NOLA. Sunset has so much famous shit on it but I was so impressed with the whole French quarter that I’ll give it to Bourbon as a nod to that neighborhood. Really some of those buildings in that neighborhood look right out of a 19th century painting, that was really incredible. Now with that being said, if I see another dancing percussion band of elementary school black kids I’m gonna shoot somebody in the fucking balls.

What do you guys think? And don’t be coming up in this bitch with no Gerry Rafferty saxophone solo Baker Street bullshit. Cause I already know you will. Yeah I’m gonna dance to it but ain’t gonna like it.

^^ If you watched the NFL draft this year, they broadcast if from Broadway. There are about 40 nightclubs and bars that line this area. No cover charge. Live music in about half of them. There are thousands of people there every weekend. Lots of good looking Southern honeys on a warm night.

Warrior yeah I was a fan. Not just country too. All types, probably the best live music scene in the USA. Really cool.

Peach Tree Street in Atlanta. FYI there are 75 streets in Atlanta with the word "Peach" in it.

I have been to all on Muddy's list, except Austin. I would add River Street in Savannah, 7th Ave in Ybor City, and 16th Street in Denver.

Bourbon Street in the 1990's was unbelievable. Incredible combination of live music, alcohol, and public debauchery. Now there are more DJs than bands and cell phone cameras have inhibited the once rampant public nudity. I now spend more time on Frenchman Street for good live music and better food.

Currently, I would have to agree Broadway in Nashville is the best street party.

Grand Canal in Venice, Italy is #1

I agree on Broadway in Nashville and Fremont in Vegas.

I'm partial to Telegraph Ave in Berkeley, CA. Not so much because of the sights and places to visit. I just thought it represents everything America is about. In one street over just a few blocks you have every walk of life in the USA covered from the most destitute to the wealthy. Cafes, restaurants, street vendors, stores, apartments, hotels, motels...a microcosm of the USA.

Les Champs Ellyseé in Paris. A lonnngg boulevard surrounded by parks, high end shopping and ending at the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre. One of the most impressive things I have ever seen.

Ocean Drive, Fort Lauderdale, late 60’s early 70’s during spring break was the coolest most happening street in America
Damn those co-eds at the Button, and all over the beach were something to see the city ruined that place but damn.

Bourbon St. in NOLA has my vote. I was at a conference and met a cute gal who agreed to go club hopping on Bourbon St. We had a great time and I had visions of visiting her hotel room but despite lots of drinks, more than a few laughs, and I might have even danced a little, she said good night and sent me on my way with a hug.
I had about a 10 block walk to my hotel, it was around midnight and I was feeling good. A group of teenagers started following me and knowing I had over $200 in my wallet I got a little bit concerned when they started cat calls, name calling, etc. I saw a bar’s entrance, walked in and the kids kept going. I sat at the bar next to a very attractive woman. We talked, I bought her a drink, and I looked around and saw that it was almost exclusively same sex couples. It was a gay bar. The woman beside me laughed out loud when I obviously was surprised. She then introduced her “partner” who was the bartender. Things were quiet and the 3 of us started joking, laughing and drinking more. The bartender got off work at 2:00 am and as their departure neared I 1/2 jokingly said I love to watch them make love. They looked at each other and I saw a nod and they said come along then. It was about a 15 minute drive to their apartment and we weren’t there more than 5 minutes until the bartender was naked on her knees “servicing” her partner. They didn’t use any toys but they sure enjoyed each other. They were attractive but not beautiful. One was in her 40’s, the other mid 30’s. I was still fully dressed sitting in an easy chair and couldn’t hide the erection but it was a good show. They finished and stood up and the two of them pulled me up standing and they jointly began undoing my pants and quickly had my pants and underwear around my ankles. They gave me crap, joking about my dick. I’d been drinking for about 5 hours , lost my balance and with my pants down fell back. They took my shoes and socks, my pants and underwear, and without any more talking started sharing my dick. They both hummed as they ran their lips back and forth on the sides and I felt it cumming. Visions of the many porn films I’d seen with “Mr. Bigcock” spraying all over the faces of two women, flashed across my mind, but it wasn’t to be. As my spunk dribbled from my dick, they handed me Kleenex but I didn’t mind one bit. It was coming up on 5:00 am as I bid farewell and called a cab.
I don’t think that could have happened anywhere else.

Being from SoCal, Sunset in Hollywood is pretty cool but my momerable street is Whittier Blvd.

Cruising down Whittier on a Sunday evening was a unique experience:

After a local car show, people would just cruise up and down the boulevard in their suped up cars, so many chicks dressed in tube tops, booty shorts, and heels walking up and down the boulevard.

Occasionally, we would park the car and walk the boulevard trying to talk to the "good rats", sometimes they would take pictures with us, flash their titties and thongs, a site to behold.

Sometimes we would invite them to our car to drink some beer, they would get drunk and start grinding and kissing each other and us.

Sometimes as we walked there would be a car load of chicks cruising the boulevard and we would walk up to the car and talk to the girls, sometimes they would flash the titties and grab our junk.

It was so much fun but I guess the residents complained about the traffic, the cops started blocking off the street and eventually the party died out.

Hm, I guess it’s a bit bigger than a mere street but I’ll nominate the Muslim Quarter in Xi’an, China. So. Freaking. Delicious. 😍

Never been to a real hooker street, one where they have good working places behind the women. Something like that though. I think TJ will fit the bill.

Always liked Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley.

San Jose Park Ave and Lincoln Ave good, as is Bascom Ave ( besides having Pink Poodle )

I’ve found several streets to be very cool in the Village. Bleecker St, Christopher St, The Bowery. Historic old streets in Greenwich Village. I used to go to the old bars - and CBGB’s back in the 80’s.

Washington St in Hoboken NJ could be cool at times too.
