Porn site leaks over a million users' private info

I'm only amazed that this doesn't happen more often.

Or maybe it does and no one cares.

Or the sites don't report it...

That story says account holders of that particular site were compromised.

I take that to mean people who paid to access the site, which is just plain idiotic with all the free porn out there. I don't think they can access private info of people who just access the site for free. If they can, they can go fuck themselves and die and violent death. I sure the fuck won't be blackmailed.

I struggle to see this being a problem. What's the worst-case scenario? They track down your IP and figure out you're watching porn? That makes you, what ... just like every other person on the planet with access to Internet? And if you're paying for porn on top of what you pay for your device & internet, you're paying too much.

Hell, maybe it's a good thing. It'll out the stupid folks, or if it is IPs, it'll allow us all to finally say, "Yeah, we all watch it, it's no big deal."

It could be a problem for the "porn is bad for society" types, who spend their time thumping bibles and trying to get the local SC shut down. Kinda undermines their credibility when they get caught looking at animated porn featuring gigantic cocks and tiny girls in schoolgirl outfits with pigtails. Coincidentally, those are often the types who don't have the tech savvy to understand they could sign up with an alternate email or something.

^^You’re right, they lack tech savvy. But they also get so excited to see for the first time naked women under 200 pounds (or in SkiBum’s case, naked men over 300 pounds) and under age 40 that they keep going back to that well over and over.
