Currently looking 4 my next big move... Ive been in factory work long enough that i can find and currently looking 4 a place to pay me $20 an hour plus unlimited overtime... If i can get this and do 80h weeks witch i already do I'll make a six figures income
Seems to get $20/hr+ jobs one may need at least some certification even if it's not necessarily a college-degree (maybe something that requires 1 or 2 years of school)
FYI welders don’t make that kind of scratch @Rick unless they are specialized like in scuba welders here is a link to the trades that make the most money on construction sites. https://www.google.com/search?q=what+are…
You can *eventually* make very good money as a welder if you have your certs in MIG, TIG, and stick and you can create solid structural welds across varying materials with reliability.
The contractors putting together the Navy ships (submarine and surface) are desperate for welders. Someone with a little training and talent can get the rest of their certs paid for by their employer without fuss.
But in that setting you'll start at the bottom of the totem pole and work your way up the pay grades. But, you can make 6 figures without going to underwater welding (which pays well because it's incredibly hard and more than a little dangerous...).
That said, I know a guy who is traveling around the world on welding. He flies somewhere, goes to autobody shops, does a demo, and gets paid cash under the table until he's ready to move on.
What CMI said. To add, highway departments, construction outfits and a variety of other places are also desperate for welders. I have a family member who is making $60k + full benefits from his day job PLUS easily another 50k from side jobs he does in his backyard. He could make even more if he wanted OT at his primary job, but he's over 60 and doesn't want the long days. There just aren't enough qualified welders to go around right now.
Casinos are always looking for Craps dealers and I think they make in the low 30s. 6 months (max) in dealer school and a few hundred dollars should get you into any casino you want.
How about being a plumber? Good bucks, dealing with leaks and shit, and you've already got a huge ass crack that you can show off. Just make sure you don't lose any more weight...... ;-D

What industry do you specialize on?
$18/hr seems like a lot to me without a college degree...
Armed Security Officers start out at $17/hr but can be more depending on your experience & bargaining power...
Getting both your Gun Permit & Security License doesn’t take that long either...
TSA Airport Screeners get paid $16/hr - $17/hr
I guess because it’s a Federal Job so it pays better...
I’m a GC specialties are high rise and mid rise Bldg s waterproofing, painting, power washing, and window washing.
I know you said you’re a business owner, correct?
How many employees do you currently have& Are you hiring?
I might need to apply lol...
But $18/hr is a nice livable wage for someone without a College Degree...
I wish the National Minimum Wage can be raised to $15/hr...
Most New Yorkers currently earn at least $15/hr...

So, there are freelance options...
I bet it has ace stuff like “special skills: winning at poker, fingering strippers, and using Arby’s sauce for many different purposes”!
