The rooms have TVs. Make sure you have a remote. Most of the channels are in spanish though. There are about 3 porn channels.
Azul is the restaurant inside the Hotel Cascadas. Then there are taco stands on the street. $1.25 per taco. They are fabulous.
During the day, I did venture away from the clubs. There is a market just to the south with lots of shops. There is a pharmacia there also. I did this walking during the day. Not sure I would want to walk around much at night.
Next time I'm there, I may see if I can pay a girl to take me sight-seeing. I'd like to see the rest of TJ. Cab rides are cheap.
Also, the hotel has a spa. You can get a massage. The people that have done that say you need to make a reservation.
Shadow, that is probably the worst part of the trek to Hong Kong. The task of getting back across the border. It's easy to get INTO Mexico, but getting out is not. I need to look into getting one of those Senturi cards. Those guys just walk to the front of the line.
i drink to excess. hang with some bros. i check out other clubs. and walk by the street girls.
warrior... instead of getting a ‘sentri card’ apply for a ‘global entry card’. much more useful for travel. but you need a passport BOOK before the cbp will consider your application at the interview. i am in the process and found out that having only the passport CARD is not enough to be considered at the interview.
yes.
and mexico honors the passport card when you walk or drive into mexico. as long as no air travel is involved the passport card is certainly much easier to carry than the passport book. but again... you need the passport BOOK with you for the global entry and sentri interview.
Misterwonderful thanks for the info! I have the book and the card so I guess I'm good.
Warrior15 I believe you only need the passport book when you do the interview for the global entry. Once you get the global entry card you won't need the book.
Across the alley and up the stairs is a client casino. There is a decent fresh juice bar also on the other side of the alley.
I would only recommend walking more than w blocks away in the daytime. Plaza saint Cecilia and revolucion are both 3 blocks away. Not too bad on foot. Especial and caesar's are dining destinations on the opposite spectrum of revolucion.
There are lots of fantastic food and artsy destinations an uber/taxi away. Bayless, bourdain, and numerous others have episodes dedicated to TJ street food and gourmet. Take a street girl to mariscos el matseteno or las ahumaderas. Take a bar girl to mision 19.
it would have saved me a big hassle and at least a couple hundred bucks had i originally got both the passport BOOK and passport CARD at the same time. but four years ago i didn’t know about the border crossing situations of waiting sometimes HOURS to return to the land of the free. i thought that having just a passport CARD was enough since i walk across and had no need for international air travel.
what really got to me is the huge long line i had to endure one sunday three years ago when the pedestrian line was FIVE HOURS LONG (due to comicon in san diego) and the car line was even worse. proper timing of your northbound crossing is hugely important if you don’t have the global entry or sentri card.
i need to add... that super long border line that particular sunday was so horribly long... when i saw the line the very first thought was to turn around and walk back to hong kong and enjoy more girls. butt... i was broke. i allready had spent $1000 cash in zona norte (most excellente time!) and had less than ten bucks left on me and no atm or credit card with me. so i did the $6 bus/van thing and even that wound up taking over two hours because of the traffic. the cbp had closed the special high priority bus lane at the san ysidro crossing and the $6 bus/van had to drive ten miles east to the otay border crossing (which was also a mess.) and then back to san ysidro to get to my parked car. (i’ll not forget that trip.)
We did kind of take over the thread. But yes, back to topic. Tell me more about this casino. Across which street. The front street or the back where the street girls are ? What stairs ?
@Warrior15, across the back alley to the south. If you look on Google street view, you can see the caliente casino. There are two caliente casinos on revolucion, and the big one in agua caliente has a dog track. Tortas washmobile by the big casino is nice.
Rosario does have some nice seafood for cheap. A 20 min uber ride (cheap in Mexico) can have you eating deep fried lobster tails on the beach.
Cant wait just go t passport in mail lol fly to san diego sunday august 5 flying back to ky thurday august 9 not counting travel or cascadia room expenses how much cash should i bring is 3 grand enough?
Figure no more than 100-125 for each time you go arriba with room, tips, pre-arriba ficha, if needed, etc. Most will go arriba for 60 or 80. Only the top of the top shelf demand 100. With food and all, I would think no more than 300 - 400 per day would suffice . . . unless you're fucking 5 times a day . . . if so, I tip my cap to you.
Last time, I was there for two days. Only spent $700. That was hotel, girls, drinks, food, taxi, everything. And I had a fabulous time. If you are there Monday and Tuesday, the girls work a little cheaper then. You can get good sessions for $60-80 on those days. It's the busy days when the girls hold out for $100 +. Food & drinks are cheap.
Speaking of TJ and getting back to California what would be the fastest way to get back over. Planning a day trip in September and want to make sure I make my flight back. Should I take a taxi to the border or a limo from the hk?
"if you're not in the mood for sex" WTF kind of question is that? I can understand needing something to do while you recover between girls, but what kind of man is ever "not in the mood for sex?"
If you're not in the mood for sex, Tijuana is the last place you'd want to visit.
If you're talking about recovering after a round of sex, just stay at HK and enjoy the shaving cream shows. Seriously, seeing hot naked women on stage eating each other out and shoving dildos into each other, that never gets old as far I'm concerned.
humpty. if a hk car/van/limo is right there parked just to the south of hk or across the street in front of tropical bar ask at the valet desk on the sidewalk for a ride. tip the driver a dollar for a ride to ped west. $2 to ped east.
otherwise take a cab. $5 maximum. cabs are ALLWAYS immediately available.
Ive been happy with Azul for food, but if you want a change of pace try La Perla on the NW corner of Ninos Hero’s (the intersection near HK main entrance). I’ve eaten breakfast there a couple of times and the food is good.
flag, you have to go sometime to understand. You just got thru fucking seven different women. You are in the mood to do something else for a while until you fuck # 8.
