Limiting the size of TUSCL

FTS
Not sure if this exact topic has been brought up recently, but in the interest of preserving the existence of this website, does anybody think that the growth in popularity of this site should be deterred? How popular, and well known, does this site have to become before some authority decides to take some action? (Or do you believe no US authority would take any action, even if this site grew to be a household name?)

Question for Founder: have you modeled the growth rate of this website? How has this site's popularity changed over the years?

We have actually experienced a huge outflux of members. But others have come and taken their places. The site has always been extremely well known, and this is it strength and its value.

imho, either it's growing or it's dying. I think the paywall / requirement to write a review to read reviews is enough of a deterrent on its own to deter unlimited growth. It's hard to imagine the masses suddenly discovering a desire to regularly engage in discussions about what kind of pants one should wear to a strip club.

You're being paranoid, i think. There isnt anything egregious going on on this site to draw the sort of negative attention you are talking about. In the context of your concern usag is far worse. That site and backpage and the likes were openly advertising for hookers and sex. Sure tuscl mentions "extras" at certain clubs but(outside of detroit and coi reviews) its not nearly as graphic as those other sites.

I don't think limiting the growth of TUSCL would protect it from the authorities in any way. TUSCL is, I think, the largest strip club site on the Internet. I'm sure the authorities and do-gooders and hypocritical politicians know of TUSCL and would shut it down if they could. But I don't think TUSCL is doing anything illegal. Founder, of course, must be aware of the dangers. But he must also want to grow TUSCL to make more money.

Bigger is better. By not flagging it as adult material, founder gives us all no reason to hide anything!

Just thought I would ask. It seems the political trend is against any kind of sex work. Perhaps this website could be the next TER in 30 years and get shut down. Of course, only after USASG, eros, p411 etc etc. I guess its 25 years too early to be thinking about this then.

@OP, why don't you just start your own site. I'm sure you'll have no problem keeping the traffic at a bare minimum.

Again fts, those sites were actively promoting and advertising hookers and sex for money.

@twentyfive, yes I believe I am. So, let's pretend this website is a girl, and we don't want her to get too big (at least, I certainly don't want her to.) Nobody wants the 300 lb with 52I bra <-- world record.

any limitations of comments without reviews would severely limit my participation.
(maybe a good idea!)

@FTS I can't argue with that one, wouldn't be a good look ;)

I like some of what Che has proposed. Actually I like most of it.

Che posted: "He had also said that he was looking at requiring people to actually review clubs in order to post to the discussion board. I hope he is still looking at this as it should cut down on trolls."

+1 vote for this approach.

^^^ Bad idea Rickyboy. If thevteview requirement were made there would be more shill reviews just so all those Juice alias could post.

“Everything written on this site should be considered fiction.” This umbrella disclaimer should keep things from getting out of hand around here. Kind of like a constitutional guide for online Mongering.
