Girls wanting larger stage tips

StPaul101
Minnesota
Has anyone else noticed that dancers are looking for larger stage tips than they had in the past?

I remember $1 being the norm but for the last couple years I've always given $2 when tipping at the stage. Recently Ive started to notice that 2 bucks isnt enough, one club I go to they only dance for you when you tip them $5+. If it gets more than $5 ill probably stop sitting at the rail and just watch from the tables or bar until 1 or 2 girls I like go up and dance.

When I'm in the mood to sit at sniffers row I normally just sit and keep tipping each dancer for each song until whatever $$ amount I have in my pocket is gone, then go back to my table or chair.

Anyone else see this happening at their clubs?

It's a combination of GPS, making it rain, laziness, not wanting to be up there in the first place, and inflation.

Really, a dollar isn't much anyways.

I haven't noticed this at my favorite club but I do know that at Cheetah in Atlanta the dancer wants $5 in tips for the top to come off and another $5 for the bottoms.

I think it mostly depends on the club like Scat said.

A lot of girls (especially those who don't have the moves on stage) hate getting up there. They're covered in sweat by the end of the sets because of the hot lights and dancing around, and sometimes only have $20 to show for it. Shit, I've seen a lot less earned too.

The one thing that I never understood is sometimes you'll go to a big club where girls could potentially make a fortune from stages tips, but the stage is behind the bar or not accessible to the customer. I often think "who ever designed this club layout should never be allowed to design one again." I know of several clubs where you have to take a penny, quarter, etc. and wrap your money around it and throw it to get money to the stage. Fucking stupid.

oh yes. in the LA clubs that i frequent a dancer usually expects 4 to 5$ for a two song set.

I'm not big on stage-tipping and not big on stage-dancing - I'll tip $1 if it's sorta an obligatory thing to get her out of my hair; but if I like the dancer I'll tip 4 or 5 singles.

I don't get this thing of tipping dancers b/c they are on-stage - as far as I'm concerned I did not ask them to get up there so why do I have to tip them just b/c they are up there - if they don't wanna be up there and have to be b/c management makes them; then that's between them (dancers) and management - don't pass the buck to the custy.

that is the us dollar... not $100 as the $ dollar sign seems to signify... in the USA.... Mexico... and hopefully perhaps the rest the world... appreciates our money. from personal experience... our dollar... as crappy as it is... it's doing better than a peso.

papi... as often as I have frequented Los Angeles and Las Vegas clubs... anything less than four or five dollars seems to insult a dancer on stage. my suggestion that if you don't want to tip every dancer... pull back from sitting at the tip rail. butt... what do I know. I'm a newbie. I don't want to tug at Superman's cape.

adds to the reason I so much enjoy Hong Kong and Adelitas and the other clubs in Tijuana.

I rarely sit at the rail and if I do then I tip every dancer - if I'm at the rail and the dancer is not my type I tip her a buck or two, and more if she's my type.

I never tip a stag dancer unless I want a dance, or it's a CF. $5 is my standard tip. $1 seems insulting to me.

I haven't tipped less than $3 in a pretty long time... usually $4 or $5. It does cut down on how much time I spend at the stage, but I think a big enough tip to make a few girls happy, is better than small tips that make girls mad, and still being out the same amount of $

Agree with subraman. Rather tip sparingly but $4 or $5 at least.

I rarely sit at the stage, but when I do I'll tip $4 or $5 for the 2 song set.
If I just walk up to the stage to tip, usually a CF or someone new that interests me, then I will tip at least $5, sometimes more.
Just tipping $1 for 1 song does not seem like enough, especially if the dancer is putting some effort into being entertaining.

If you're gonna sit at the rail for multiple sets then I think you tip every song, I also see nothing wrong here in tipping $1 per song.

If you're trying to get attention then yeah $1 probably not gonna do it.

@shadow: I'm pretty sure the $5 & $5 thing is club policy at Cheetah. The DJ was announcing it at least every other song when I was there.

I did that once at Baby Dolls. Get a stack of singles and sit at the stage and tip $1 to each dancer.

Now I just sit in the back and only approach the stage to tip the CF.

I tip much more than $5, but then again maybe it's just me.

My thinking is $1 per song was okay in 1996 but in 2016 I consider $2 per song to me my minimum. Plenty of customers still tip $1 a song (or even $1 a stage set) and more power to then. Most recent dancers that I enjoy watching will get $2 a song or $5 for a 2-song stage set and $7 for a 3-song one. If I like her I'll up the $2 per song to $3 per song (seems sufficient to get 'attention' around these parts. If she's doing insane pole tricks I'll tip her $7 per song. With the idea that a pole dancing specialist is often not a lap dancing specialist so likely I'll enjoy her stage show but probably won't get dances from her. So her stage money is probably all she'll earn from me, unless she stops by after the set for a drink / hydration / refreshing beverage, which of course I will gladly buy. I tend to cap my stage tipping at $21 for a 2-3 song set. Any more than that and she should be earning money at my table for front room convo and/or action or dances. Occasionally I will tip a $20 bill (Tubman) to a new girl to get her attention quickly. The CF gets $5 for a stage set but I watch from the couches and she dances towards me or stay in my view/focus he entire time, her idea and her preference, but the respect is appreciated.

The most I have ever "rained" was $135 in crisp, new $5 bills for a gifted pole dancer / stage acrobat. She was doing so insane Circ du Soleil type moves, so she earned the tips I my eyes. I used the ATM method, for you fellow rainmakers. I got a nice thanks from her after her stage set. She loved rolling around in the like of money and commented that the smell of the crisp, new money was, in her words, "BEYOND AWESOME." ^_^ hehe.

^^^ Point of clarification. The CF calls it the "ATM method" of rain making. In the video "Moonshine Bonanza" calls it the "waterfall method" of rain making. I don't want to confuse the guys who never make it rain, as I figure you may not be up on the lingo.

twice I have tried to make it rain. it does take skill or luck. even when I separated dollars and fan them out usually ythey still fall as a clump. I just can't seem to get the right wrist action. but even then the girl still appreciates it. I have to admit watching a successfuly done rain storm is pretty impressive.

$1 per girl per two song set is the standard here in San Diego. Some dudes tip more to their faves.

At all the clubs I ever go to, $1 is still the standard. Sometimes the customers tip more and at my most frequently visited club, they do make it rain, but they don't pass up anything there. Sometimes there, they get so much in stage tips they get one of those cardboard pieces that the beer they sell comes in to put all their tips.

If I like the dancer on stage very much I tip $3 per song at diff timrs. If the dancer is average I will tip $1 per song. I don't sit if I see a dancer whom I don't like is coming on stage.
Here in Philly usually two dance sets or 3 dance sets. If it's not two dance set there will be dollar parade.Girls circle around the stage/bar and ask for tips after 5heir set is over. Here you don't see many tippers during stage fancers

I don't tip more than two bucks. If a bitch gives me that look hoping for more, I look at her and tell her to beat it or beat my meat. No exceptions. Just gotta stand your ground and if there are more determined men and less simps, the women will get they shouldn't expect more. The problem is, there are more older men visiting than ever, there are more young bucks throwing around their money than ever and the clubs are just becoming more stingy.

$1 to say Hi and get a closer look; turn right back around a minute or two later while she is still on stage (if I liked what I saw and want company) to give her multiple ones or a five asking her to stop by. Works every time.

I seldom stage tip. If I do I start with a dollar and go up to whatever.

Well, they do whatever they can get away with. Depends on the club, depends on the current customer to dancer ratio, and on how many customers are at the stage.

Sometimes you do need to sit it out, not sit at the stage, when it gets to strange.

I haven't noticed dancers expecting bigger tips. I usually tip several dollars, but I see girls all the time being nice and appreciative over a $1 tip.
