Heya

Hello everybody. I've been a member of this site for since June I think, but I've only made a few posts. At the time I was working full time and school full time so I didn't have that much time, obviously. Anyway, in an attempt to start a conversation I was just wondering what was the reason you went to club for the first time? Or if your dancer how'd you decide to do it?
The first time I went I was totally against it. I was with some friends and they wanted to go because they wanted to and since I had never been to one. So went to Showgirls I in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The area I'm from. I sat there in protest and finally stopped being a pussy and went in. Now I'm a semi-regular in the area to a few clubs. Like once a month.
Well, that’s all I got. Maybe it’s a stupid post, but I tried to start a conversation, damnit.

I first went as an escort for a female friend so she could check out a club as she was thinking of starting to dance. I have to agree that clubs were better in the 80's and early 90's than they are today. Most every club had dancers that could put on great stage shows rather than just prance around. There was MUCH less contact and the dancers seemed happier that way and the customers seemed better behaved when it was mostly air dancing. The hustle factor was fairly low too as the economy was better and customers spent more freely.

Look at it this way, in 20 years, this will be your "old days".

YODA & FONDL: At least you had the old days to experience and remember. I always hear stories from guys in my office about how "business" used to be done. What happened? I feel like I missed the train on this one.

Yoda, yes it is fun to remember the old days, mainly because you mmostly remember the good parts. I'm not convinced the old days were better, we just remember them that way. But things were a lot simpler. I'm also convinced that women have been net losers in the expansion of their so-called freedoms, even though I know that saying that is going to bring a lot of rotten eggs my way.

Hey Yoda, I was in a rock band a long time ago too, but was never lucky enough to run into strippers at a gig. Played some jazz too (tenor sax, later keyboards.) My first club visit was so long ago I don'te even remember. But I do remember visiting some of our salesmen (and yes they were all men then) who took me to some clubs so maybe that was it. In fact back in those days it was pretty standard procedure for salesmen to take their customers and home office visitors (that was me) to strip clubs. I also remember going to lunch in fairly fancy places where the waitresses were nearly nude (I wonder if such places still exist). The salemen would even line you up with a hooker if you wanted, that was an unwritten part of their job description. My how the world has changed. And not entirely for the better.

I was on a business trip with my boss and a couple of other business associates. During dinner conversation it was discovered that it was my 26th birthday. I basically became the excuse for a group of middle aged married men to go out and have some fun - I was even the designated driver. Anyway, my first club experience was great and any preconcieved notions I had for never going to a club before, were quickly corrected. Since then, I have been to several clubs in my area and when I travel. The best part is, I am no longer surprised when I meet beautiful women who are also beautiful people.

A long time ago, in another life, I was in a rock band, one weekend we where booked into a club that was a stripclub on one side and a rock club on the other. During our breaks we wandered over to the strip club side and during thier breaks some of the girls came over to check out the bands. It was an interesting environment for a strip club as the two different rooms attracted very different crowds who somehow wound up intermingling.
