When I would get into town (at most I saw her once a month) I would go down to the club, go in, give her a big hug, have a drink with her and let her go back to work. @lopaw- I didn't think about the possibility of the stripper's girlfriend showing up. It might just be me, but I would just be my normal self around the stripper if I knew her girlfriend was there, as opposed to if her boyfriend was there, I wouldn't get anywhere near her.

Was at a club last year and was waiting on VIP seat with favorite when her bf came in to ask for $$$. She told him to wait for about 30 minutes. He took a seat and I told her maybe later but not while he was anywhere near the club. She went to dressing room and brought out cash to him, but he hung around. You bring up a topic that has long been on my mind. I have been at one club where boyfriends were not allowed to visit when their girlfriend was working. Another club doesn't allow their staff to date. One has to quit if they are dating. At another club, the boyfriend would play pool in the back while his girlfriend would wok. A phenomenon I have noticed recently is girls being dropped off by their boyfriends for work. They usually just pull up to the entrance, drop them off and go where? I couldn't do it. A good club won't let a boyfriend stay in the club if it makes it at all notable he's a boyfriend of a stripper who's working. This is a minimum standard, don't go to a club that doesn't meet it. A few times, either the girlfriend stripper or anther stripper dimed the boyfriend out. If it doesn't noticeable bother him being there, doesn't bother me he's there.

Lots of clubs have rules against it and will 86 you if you're dating a girl. Yes, a dancer's boyfriend came into a club while I was conversing with that particular dancer. The boyfriend was irate, and assumed something was going on between the dancer and me. He wanted to fight me. I declined, and departed. Public fights in bars tend to draw unwanted attention.

@gmd it works out the same. A well-behaved boyfriend will seem like a regular. One stripper may try to dime out another one, but only a seriously stupid club manager would act on that kind of crap. In a lot of clubs, the burn would come if the stripper left with a boyfriend or customer, as that could be seen as evidence the club was facilitating prostitution. My favs have had well-behaved boyfriends in the club even though they technically weren't supposed to.

I'll reiterate what I said 6 years ago. If a girl is dumb enough to allow her SO to hang out in the club when she's working, she's not going to see any money from me.

Also, contrary to ilb's claim that they can be hard to spot, I've never had much trouble. Most often when I see it, it's not his behavior that tips me off but rather hers.
