I want to know if they might be an alternative to the strip club? I go to clubs when I travel. I think I might save money by ordering these girls to my hotel for a couple hours. I'm just looking for great lap dances, no extras necessary.

Atmosphere. I don't mind clubs I just feel like I waste time and money waiting for the right girl for me.
Shopping for the right girl is what clubbing is all about. It's like hunting or fishing -- takes time but the patience pays off in a big way. OTC with a great girl is like catching a 10 lb bass. Totally different from an escort which is basically buying sight unseen.

Those services have been around forever. Mostly for bachelor parties and stuff, but for other reasons. Some are hookers, some are air dance strippers, most (especially the legit ones) have heavy security with them (which is understandable), and really it's nothing new.
And BTW, if you're expecting any form of mileage, think again. The universal rule of the hotter the woman, the lower the mileage still applies. What you can expect is a fairly lame "Ooo La Laaa!!" type of tease, but don't expect any contact. And you'll probably be expected to give a lot of tips. They are designed for groups, not individuals, because they're expecting tips to make up for the relatively low "come on" prices.

From what you are describing, it sounds like a escort service. Maybe they deliver as you would expect, but the cost might be high.
Strip clubs are better because 1. You can see the dancers and select for yourself. 2. You can fraternize with the dancers and find out for yourself if you are likely to get along with them and if you would want to be along with them, and if you would want to be handing them serious money.
But the escort service is better because they send it to your door, and because it is presumed that it is full service. Cost and quality are just likely to be an issue.
I don't like escort services. I like strip clubs because I like the face to face meeting and fraternizing.

A way to save money, ok then. Because having a girl come to your hotel room just to give you LDs ISN'T a waste of money. ;)
But putting that aside, why would you ever want to be stuck with only one LD option? What if you don't like her dances? You're still going to have to pay her anyway. I'm not really sure that this is the better alternative to your club options.
Or you can just grow a sack and spend your money on girls who will take care of business.
My ATF occasionally works for a guy who delivers strippers to bachelor parties and other male gatherings. She usually works with another dancer and they do a lot of girl on girl action using two headed dildoes and other toys. I'm not sure, but I get the impression that extras can be purchased.. She told me that one night she walked in on the other girl fucking the guest of honor. She says the money is real good but she feels degraded every time she does it. She frequently will do two parties in one night and come back with a grand, so I figure she's selling extras as well.

No, it is not. Some are, but the high end ones like this one are very likely not. Which isn't to say some girls don't fuck for money on the side. But there are MANY legitimate bachelor party stripper services out there, and they are anything but high mileage escorts.
