Iceland Banned Strip Clubs! Can it Happen Elsewhere?

"Iceland has had laws banning the printing and distribution of pornography for years, but those laws haven't been updated to include the Web. And two years ago, the nation's parliament banned strip clubs, saying they violate the rights of the women who work in them."

My question is what would happen to all the strip club stakeholders if SCs were ever banned in U.S. Would strippers just shift to other forms of sex work? Would club owners/investors put their money into other adult entertainment ventures? What would WE do without a regular SC fix? What about stripper boyfriends, college plans, kids... What about the growing SC chains? Would LE have less to do?
I was happier just dismissing the notion of not being able to enjoy SCs as an extremely far-fetched, ultra-hypothetical possibility. I suspect Islanders may have thought that a few years ago as well.

But the whale watching is cool, puffins are cute (also on the menu, didn't have the heart to eat puffin though), and geology is fascinating. Geyser is just spectacular. Water spouting every few min. and these incredible clear blue pools that are apparently over 95 degrees. Reykjavik is incredibly clean and I think there is basically no crime. Hot water is apparently free to all due to the geothermal activity (at least that is what I was told). Only downside is that showers smell like sulfur.
So go if you want a beautiful place to hike etc. and take a break from clubbing. If you want hot clubbing...not so much
LOL – another Gator original!
ldk was pretty good too – the kid may have a shot :)
"A child must be given a name before the age of six months. The Personal Names Register includes all Icelandic names that have been approved. A special act of law applies to the giving of names."
