1. It would also be interesting to see per capita based on metropolitan statistical data area instead of entire state. Rural area could be draging down the average, or lack of zoning in rural area could up the average. For example, is Portland, OR really the most SC per capata?
2. Still need a way to 'grade on a curve' and not count air dance club or more weight to high mileage clubs.

@ mjx: A lot of Portland "strip clubs" are really just restaurants with a small stage and pole in a corner, further skewing the per capita statistics.
What I find interesting is that states that are demographically similar, but differ widely in the number of Strip Clubs. For example, VA 23800 v. NC 107000 and KY 118000 v. TN 246000 -- and right in the middle of all these is WV in the number one spot.
On the other hand, OH 91,000 and IN 92,000 are, as one might suspect, like two peas in a pod.
@ranukam thanks for the comparison as well. I'm looking forward to my Portland trip (if it happens -- October).
You'll have to let me know your favorite clubs up there. I hope to make the most of the trip if I'm there.
Do you think it might give a different look if the data was SCs per Males 18 and up?
