Why not toss in Julius Caesar he was Italian right? You can toss out notables from almost any land area in history. Machiavelli would have said he was Florentine not Italian, Stradivari was from Milan (I think). Until the late 1800's it was just a bunch of states getting fucked up by outsiders; French, Spanish, Germans (they weren't really Germans yet either). Even once they became the Italy we have today they really didn't do anything... Only European colonizers to get their ass kicked by Africans? Switched sides a couple of times in War?

It would be cool if someone with Photoshop skills could take a picture of a 20 year old Taylor and "fix" it so it would be a current day photograph of a 20 year old Taylor. The styles of the 1950's vs. those of today make any old photograph look strange by today's standards. Just the hairstyle alone would make a tremendous difference, and then take into account makeup.
