It looks like I'm going to be retiring from clubbing. Either that, or I'll only go to clubs when I'm out of town, which isn't very often. :( I recently read a review of the downtown Paper Moon in Richmond that informed me of some new rules they've implemented. In the past, this club has always offered 2 types of dances. For $20 you can get a no touch dance where the girl doesn't take anything off. It's just a bikini dance, and it's not even worth the 20 bones because it's an air dance. The next option is a $60 2 for 1 in which they take their top off (still have pasties on) but they have to keep their bottoms on. Plus, this meant that you can pretty much grab as much tits and ass as you want during your dance. As over-priced as this dance is, I've paid for it multiple times, because it's pointless to pay for the $20 dance and I've always found the girls at this club to be very attractive.<br />

Today, after reading a new review of the downtown Paper Moon, I come to find out the rules have changed. You can no longer touch titties for paying SIXTY DOLLARS for a 2 for 1. Plus, the bouncers roam around the dance room to enforce these new rules. That was the last straw. I won't stand for it any longer. It's bad enough that the lap dance prices are extremely overpriced AND the clubs here are pastie, but now you can't touch titties after paying SIXTY DOLLARS? REALLY?<br />

I like going to clubs, but not to the extent that I want to drive 2 hours just to get to a good one. With that said, I am going to go to Fuego in Maryland which is a 2 hour drive from where I live. I have to go at least once. After that, I won't be going to clubs anymore unless I happen to be out of town for some other reason.<br />

As of right now, I am boycotting Virginia strip clubs and I suggest you do the same.</p>

Bring The Booty Bus to Virginia! It's mobile, and it took the Detroit Police 5 years to find it and 'arrest it'! Virginia's a big state -- it ought to take the state or local fuzz a couple of decades to find it. Then again, if it flies the Tea Party flags in non-Democratic precincts it may never get found!
Virginia has always had roaming mobs of people that pummel you with their Bibles. I don't see the climate there ever changing. DC has some eye candy but you can't touch. Had a beautiful girl once try to seduce me with an awkward stroking my package with her knee. Couldn't believe it at the time, and I suppose that she thought that was the only thing she could get away with.
Can't blame you. To this day I still have flashbacks from my last trip to Richmond.
Way ahead of you. Gave up on Virginia years ago. Will not set foot in a SC in VA or DC. Luckily, I travel. I'd rather wait and have a good time than repeated bad ones.
I gave up on Virginia clubs a few years ago. The Richmond Paper Moon Southside had some good dances but the $60 to be able to have two way contact was too steep. The dances down the road at Platinum something were good contact for $20 but the girls were not as attractive. Now that the $60 are not two way contact, these boring clubs just got worse.
Sounds like as bad as MASS clubs, no touching there - what a waste. just sit by the stage and throw dollars....
You can't touch the titties? GoVikings, that is an outrage. As a gesture of sympathy I am boycotting Detroit strip clubs for the next two weeks. Of course I'm out of the country until then.
My original ATF was from Richmond but she started dancing in WV. Even 13 years ago VA sucked.

i'm actually going to club fuego tomorrow in maryland. can't believe i'm driving 2 hours just to go to a club, but i've got to go at least once. they have 10 dollar 2 way contact dances. once i get a taste of that, i know i'll never want to return to VA's lap dance prices again haha.

I just read the new review on Fuego. Seems like they are starting the $60 upsell now as well.
^ glad you pointed that out. i hadn't seen that review yet. i was told by a former fuego regular that all the dances are two way contact at fuego. even the $10 dollar lap dances. that's great. i'm use to paying so much more than that.
@top, no they are actually MUCH WORSE than Mass clubs. At least in MA one can see full nudity and drink hard alcohol. In VA clubs they are fully covered bottoms with coverage requirements on top and one cannot order a damned whiskey (my drink), but can only have beer or wine.
I am surprised that nobody has challenged the constitutionality of the VA laws yet, but there it is.
Not sure if Pure Pleasure, down the street from Paper Moon South, has put the same rules in place, but at least it's a 2 sided club where you can get hard liquor on one side and strippers on the other. Yes, they wear pasties but the contact was 2 way last time I was there.

Sorry to hear your favorite club is on "Double Secret Probation." This may just be a short term reaction to the club being cited for violations during an ABC inspection. Something similar happened to the Paper Moon in NoVA, but after a few weeks the lap dance rules relaxed again and things returned to their normal level of merely being grossly overpriced, lol.
@topmandd and Rick: What MA clubs are you going to that have no contact? The Boston area clubs are awful, but most of the clubs from Worcester westward have moderate to good contact.
Apparently we all just need to move to Toronto, San Diego (for Tijuana), Detroit, or Texas.

yes govikings me and you had this discussion offline before and when describign fuego to you i was hoping i wasnt hyping the place up too much and your expectations would be very high and get dissapointed... but as i see i didnt and you had a great time.. i need to make my way back over there soon myself.. soon as i get my 5k from nationwide from the hurricane

VA and DC have been a waste of time for years. Both overpriced and no mileage. Glad to hear about Fuego. Will check it out soon!
was stationed in VA for 3 years. VA strip clubs are by far the worst clubs....EVER! Don't waste your time.
Sounds like I need to check out Fuego. I live close to the WVA border and WV recently cracked down big time on LD's (girls have to be at least 6 inches away from if fully nude). I haven't been to a VA strip club in years
Gold and Silver, the one in Roanoke, VA, is OK---full nudity and the girls spread their legs apart on stage when nude---but the ones in the other parts of the state are more restricted---see my reviews of two clubs in VA Beach

Richmond, VA to Roanoke, VA = about 3 and 1/4 hrs due west
that's too far, that's longer than it would take me to get to the maryland clubs, and the maryland clubs are obviously better
ah well, i might re-consider what i originally said in this article, and check out daddy rabbit's, since it's the only club other besides club rogue that i haven't been to in my area (richmond, VA)
Can’t say I blame you at all! I feel your frustration. Nobody likes air dances especially after one has experienced what is available in other SCs/areas. I wouldn’t even pay $5 dollars for an air-dance (not worth it to me) even less the prices they charge you in your area.
I would not waste my $$$ on these types of clubs. I would save it and try to go on SC road trips if your schedule permits it – plus it’s always nice for the psyche to get away every once in a while even if it’s a mini-vacation.
B.T.W. If you don’t have a car in good condition for road trips, Enterprise has really good weekend deals. So you could rent a new car and use it for the SC road trip and save the wear and tear on your ride – my 2 cents.
