Brief Reports on a Few Detroit Clubs

I recently road-tripped from the East Coast to Chicago and back, stopping in the Detroit area Saturday in the afternoon and evening to see some women in various states of undress at four clubs: Henry the VIII, Bogart’s, Subi’s, and Silver Criket. I like dives, so in part that’s why I didn’t stop at places known for their high prices.

I’ve got more than 300 reviews published on TUSCL, and I know what should go into them, but these visits were kind of brief. Rather than write four partial reviews (and risk the dreaded “Not enough details” rejection), I thought I’d just write up some quick observations and share some thoughts in an article that might help someone who’s thinking about visiting the area.

Henry the VIII
I arrived about 3:00 pm. There were maybe six or seven dancers (a mix of black and white) and three or four customers beside me. Free parking, $5 cover, and $10 for bottled water. While I was there, they had one girl at a time on stage, dancing topless.

The black girls, especially, are manually very persuasive in convincing you that lap dances would be fun. You pay a one-time fee of $10 for a wristband to access to the LD area, and dances are $20 a song (all nude, if you do a few of them). Went back with half the girls working, and all offered extras, but on my first stop of the day I was only looking for dances. One of the white girls, unsolicited, deep-throated me bareback for a bit (and OMG, did so expertly), but I put a halt to it since I had just gotten there and wanted to pace myself. She said I owed her $200 for that (plus the dances), but I just gave her a $20 tip on top of the $80 for four dances. When I left, I asked for a free pass to Bogart’s, which is only a few blocks away.

Bogart’s
I arrived about 4:30. Free parking, $5.00 cover (though free with the pass I got at Henry’s), and $10 for bottled water. Couldn’t believe how dead the place was. Only four dancers that I saw, dancing topless on stage one at a time.

Most of the girls I saw were white, all were overweight, and none were attractive to me. I stayed about 30 minutes and left very disappointed. I’ve had fun here before on a Saturday afternoon, but apparently not today, Satan. FWIW, the VIP cubicles here are slightly larger and more conducive to fun than at Henry’s.

Subi’s
I arrived about 9:45 on Saturday night. I avoided the valet parking and parked on the street a block away in a residential neighborhood. I think the cover was $10 and bottled water was $10 at the bar. Booths are available for a fee, but only two were occupied; everyone else (including me) chose to sit at the bar.

Can’t remember how many girls were working, but they were a mix of black and white. Two were thin and fit (my favorite) and the rest were fat in an unattractive way. There is a $10 fee to access the LD area every time you go back there. Dances are $20-$40 or more, depending on the girl. I think extras are available, but I bailed after about 30 minutes and drove to Silver Criket.

Silver Criket
I arrived about 11:00 pm on a Saturday. Free parking, and $15 at the door. There is a fee to sit at the booths, and all were occupied. I sat at the bar. Lots and lots of dancers and customers. The dancers all looked hot – so much better than the other three clubs I had visited earlier that day. They were mostly black, but there were a good number of white girls.

I took a couple of girls back for private dances, which (at least for these two) were $20 for topless and $40 for nude. Two-way contact was excellent (even at the $20 level), and extras are available. There was a one-time $10 charge to access the LD area, but the LD manager (who was a very nice guy) told me that will change and “soon” you will have to pay a $10 fee every time you go back. You have been warned.

Since this is to be submitted as an article and not a review, I will add a comment about something I found unique. I stayed at the La Quinta on Northline Road (not too far from Subi’s), and the hotel wifi automatically blocked access to “unsafe” sites – including TUSCL! Just out of curiosity (um, right), I tried to access Pornhub and got the same block. This is not the case at other hotels in the chain; this one must be owned by someone who feels the need to control their clientele. Of course, I was able to circumvent the block by using the hot spot on my phone. Yes, today, Satan.
