Never been to Wax, but been to Blaze (another black club) with a black friend.
The NFL offensive-tackle-sized bouncer said "normally we don't let white guys in but because you're with a big black brother, we'll make an exception."
Only one color matters in the club--green.

My fantasy team is up 44. I've played all my team, opponent has RB David Montgomery (i.e. 2nd string Detroit RB) left to play. Time to worry about playing my best friend next week.
Cincy looked like pigshit, playing against the Pats' beat-to-shit offensive line. I know they start slow but Joe "Season-Ending Injury Waiting to Happen" Burrow and the Bengals always seem to play less than the sum of their talent. I think the Pats will still have a bad year but this one's more on Cincy.
My Browns, down to their 23482394th left tackle, played as well as I expected. The Watson trade, and the Broncos' trade for Wilson, will go down as the two most lopsided trades in league history.
One of my iron rules of fantasy football (that has made me quite successful) is to never place trust in any Bengals or Jets. I broke that and drafted Rodgers last year, and learned my lesson.

^ 2004 I didn't say Kerry did...Jesse Jackson did among others. But the source is irrelevant.
"We examine how voter ID impacts the parties’ electoral fortunes in races at the state level (state legislatures and governorships) and federal level (United States Congress and president) during 2003 to 2020. Our results suggest negligible average effects but with some heterogeneity over time. The first laws implemented produced a Democratic advantage, which weakened to near zero after 2012. We conclude that voter ID requirements motivate and mobilize supporters of both parties, ultimately mitigating their anticipated effects on election results."
https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.2217323120
This is a top scientific journal, not a lib advocacy group.
I don't care of voter ID laws were used 60 years ago to suppress the black vote, that's ancient history. That's called "poisoning the well."
I'd be in favor of a free voter ID, easily, if it would give elections that everyone can have faith in. Is it oppression to require an ID to enter a government building (or DNC?) To buy a beer? To get on a plane? To drive a car? Your article's slant is obvious by them only citing liberal interest groups as hurt by this.
80% of voters, including 60% of Democrats support voter ID, including 64% of black, 77% of Hispanic, and 76% of low income. 33 of the 37 OECD nations do. Why is it uniquely oppressive here?
Why would you be against something that improves turnout in BOTH parties and increases faith in the vote?

@ggofv - wow, hide your straw men, you're on a killing spree! You're looking at the worst parts of the Republican agenda and pretending the rest doesn't exist.
Yeah, Trump's tariffs are stupid. But your embrace of price controls ("15% cap on price increases") is even dumber. Look at the USSR, rent control, shit, food and gas the 70s here to see the price controls equal shortages. Removing the price signal in the name of "fairness" heavily distorts the market. But the left would prefer everyone be equal in misery than unequal in prosperity. It should tell you something that Democrats are calming people by saying "don't worry, that won't pass anyways." Even they know how horrible it is.
Even more illiterate is a tax on unrealized capital gains. Even if you assume it will only ever hit the super-rich, that capital is going to fly the fuck out of this country so fast the wind will blow your hood back. And that's if the threshold doesn't creep down like every "tax on the rich" does.
That's the fundamental difference economically between the left and the right. The left thinks all wealth in the country is theirs to do as they please, on temporary loan to the private sector.
Creating Strife, I'm talking about who, for the last 15 years, has thrown the first punch in every battle of the culture wars. Conservatives lose these because they want to live and let live against the side that wants to encroach. The left didn't give a shit about trans anything until 10 years ago, why did Joe Biden now call it "the civil rights issue of the day?" Racial reparations were a fringe idea until recently, now Harris is on record supporting them...it wasn't the right that raised the idea that a group that never owned slaves owns a group that was never enslaved. Who is resegregating dorms and graduation ceremonies on campus? Not the right. Who is sowing distrust between genders, races, and sexual orientations? There is no equivalence here.
Rolling back the Constitution, I'm talking much more about the 1st amendment and the separation of powers than anything else. That's my far and away #1 issue of this election is freedom of speech. Joe Biden tried to create a censorship bureau and has outsourced censorship to outside agencies. Joe Biden is the one whose administration leaned on social media to censor viewpoints they didn't like. Harris and Walz are the ones saying freedom of speech is a "privilege" and doesn't extend to "hate speech" (which the Supreme Court disagrees with). Robert Reich, Dem thoughtleader, is calling to have Elon Musk arrested. I know saying freedom of speech is under threat gets snide comments from some of the libs here (as if censoring an obscure strip club message board is equivalent to a 2 billion user social network), but imagine Donald Trump in charge of a censorship bureau or defining "hate speech." (No, don't say Trump would do the same. He had 4 years and didn't do any of that shit.)
The other major issue within the Constitution is the separation of powers, particularly the attacks on the Supreme Court. If Dems pack the court (funny how the right amount of new justices is exactly the amount that would create a progressive majority!), what's to stop the next GOP administration from packing it more to restore the previous ideological balance? The left loved the Supreme Court for Roe and Obergefell, now that it has Dobbs it's overstepping its bounds???
Strength abroad, the proof is in the pudding. We have given billions to Iran and Hamas and look what happens, there's a proxy war. (Under Trump when the "evangelicals" would have had more say, the Middle East was, in the words of Biden's own National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, the quietest it's been in the last 20 years.) We let China surveil our military bases with spy balloons. We got fucking PANTSED in Afghanistan (that's when Biden's approval rating dropped below water and never recovered). Venezuela is literally emptying their jails to send them to America.
Look, you seem like a reasonable guy, and I appreciate you staying civil when a lot of people (on both sides) here are turning into jagoff trolls or whiny little bitches, but there isn't a single factual reason in anything you said (other than the Trump tariffs) to support the liberal agenda.
I sense that your calling yourself a liberal might be due to other factors. If that's what drives you, hey, if abortion up to the moment of birth trumps (lol) everything else on your list, go ahead and vote Democrat. If you believe tens of millions of unvetted immigrants including criminals and gangsters are worth being able to say we're "not racist," go ahead and vote Democrat. If you believe we should dismantle modern civilization to reduce global warming, go ahead and vote Democrat.
I'm just saying that if you value strength, rights (other than abortion), and a strong America, then "vote Red, or where's your head."

"I guess you also feel the Nuremburg trials were unfair because the judges weren't Nazis."
Bizarre example. What laws were twisted to convict the Nazis? Oh wait, those were actual bright-line crimes. In this country, due process is sacred, even when you aren't popular.
"So claiming the most recent election was stolen is NOT claiming democracy was overthrown?"
Correct, if you can distinguish by degree. You're confusing a September breeze with a vat of liquid helium. Democrats said the 2000 election was stolen, or 2004 voting machines stole the election. Have we charged Jesse Jackson or Al Gore or any of them over that? If not, why would you charge Trump?
"What were some relevant abnormalities?"
You're way over your skis if you want to claim the 2020 election was the mOsT sEcUrE eVeR with all the first-time pandemic adjustments. But let's start with this--observers removed from facilities, "found" ballots that seemed to skew Democrat, found non-resident ballots, broken chains of custody. We could get into things like ballot harvesting that add uncertainty (if not fraud) to the process too. All of this is well documented. Maybe it would or wouldn't have made the difference, but pointing these out is not some farfetched conspiracy theory.
"If you require X to vote, and many voters don't have X, and you don't give a shit they don't have X, yes, that's voter supression."
Which is why turnout INCREASED where it was suspected. To participate in modern civilization, shit, man, to get into the Democratic National Fucking Convention, you need a government ID. To buy a beer, to get on a plane. Voter suppression is just the left's all-purpose excuse for not winning elections. They're already crying Russia Russia Russia.

@ggofv - I think you have a good idea as to my problem with the Democratic agenda, without it.
On the contrary, our first policy should be "do no harm." The left acts like they're entitled to points for effort, an "at least we tried to do something." As if the point of politics is to feel good about yourself rather than do the right thing. Often the right thing is to leave the American people to their own ingenuity and resourcefulness, rather than a second government program to fix what the first government program caused.
It is the left (broadly speaking) that believes we can engineer a perfect society. Conservatives know better.

"Who a judge supported politically is not, in itself, reason for recusal."
Yes, it is. It's the reason they don't hire all Bronx umpiring crews for a Yankees-Dodgers series, and take them on their word that they aren't biased. Anyone who isn't in the tank can acknowledge it.
"You seem convinced that, if Trump doesn't get special privileges, that means he's persecuted."
No. What special privileges have I asked for?
"I agree the judge should have told the jury the bootstrapping to felonies was a violation of the Bill of Rights."
That's a giant fucking omission. Should be enough for a mistrial. At least you acknowledge it, half the libs here are so Orange Man Bad they can't.
"But I don't think there's proof that the NY law in question was passed with the intent to go after Trump or Republicans."
It was massaged to go after Trump, that's all that matters. We agree on the facts of the case, I don't see how you can say this was right.
"I think it's comparable, when you convince a vet that democracy is being overthrown."
Anyone equating anything in the last few years with "democracy overthrown" is not living in reality. Where were the commandos that the left accuses the right of harboring? Waltzing down the halls stealing podiums and shitting on desks is not "overthrowing democracy."
"So your rock-solid defense of Trump is that changes were made due to the pandemic, so lets just assume they were made with an ulterior motive."
Think you're misinterpreting me. I'm not one of those people who says the election was stolen, though there are a ton of abnormalities that should not have happened. I'm saying they this lack of election safeguards is unacceptable. Nowhere else does mail in voting because it's insecure. Yet Dems screech that not having it is vOtEr sUpPrEsSiOn. Why the hostility to any kind of election integrity safeguards?
And yes, Republicans are pushing for voter ID and dead/moved voters taken off of rolls. Democrats are opposing they tooth and nail. There aren't many reasons why they would want to do this.

^ jury instructions. Oh yeah and a judge who donated and whose daughter worked for the Biden campaign.
I don't believe the election was stolen but with a million new procedures in place for the pandemic, yeah, anyone who said the election was the most secure ever needs their heads examined. Trump didn't tell Ashli Babbitt to climb the wall. He's not responsible for every one of his followers' actions. He told them to keep it peaceful and eventually to go home."

"It's not a new, nor party-specific, problem that prosecutors don't have only honorable motivations."
It still doesn't make this case honest. I don't see why anyone is obligated to shut up and take it because they aren't the only one ever to be railroaded.
"In any case, the case about the classified documents is a stronger one."
As I said, that one is free of the other machinations.
As far as the Capitol police, yes I've read about them, yes I can call it a rally that got out of hand, and yes Trump shouldn't pardon the small number that actually assaulted a police officer.

^ The condemnation of most of those men is a badge of honor. The Bushes are a dying light for good reason. The Cheneys are the same only more warmongering. McCain is dead. Romney's only constant political principle is self advancement. Ryan got steamrolled by Obama. McConnell appointed conservative justices so I admit I have a soft spot for him, but he's gone squish.
All of those care more about attending the right DC soirees than actually enacting conservative policy.
Is Trump an angel? No. He's an asshole, a narcissist, a loose cannon, can't help but punch down, and not even that effective.
But any "conservative" who would rather the farthest left Senator during her term get elected president, and the farthest left governor in his time elected VP, is a goddamned liar.
