I'd sort of given up on this club. Maybe I should give it another chance?

@ Hedonist: Maya is not quite my type. Pretty but doesn't move my needle. I can see why she's popular, though.

Rachel is indeed one of the best dancers I've encountered in any club in this area. She's smarter than your typical dancer, attractive, gets into a good headspace, and can get you into a good headspace.

The bartenders were unobtrusive and filled their function well. That's perfectly good enough in my book.

The 15 and 30 minute room prices are true to the very best of my knowledge. LDs might be 40.

@ Xpert- Yes, a more accurate statement would have been "relax and pay for overpriced food for others." @ Jimmy- No cover! But I always buy a $6 water, I guess that's my cover. @ RonJax- LDs are $40, 15 min room is $200, 30 min room is $350. It's buried in the review :)

Hi @ Papi: I do think they offer single songs for 20 or 30. My eyes tend to glaze over that line. My eyes also tend to glaze over dancers I'm not interested in at first or second glance :) Honestly it was a very statistically average roster for the Baltimore area. The preponderance were AA, there were a variety of shapes and sizes, most all of them a little too large and tattooed for my liking. Stormy was a little on the tall side with green eyes, shoulder length wavy hair and a perfectly average body with the usual amount of ink. Midnight was much shorter (think about 5'3" or so) with very few tattoos, very young, tight skin, straight black hair to the middle of her back, and a slightly but not overdone goth look (dark red lipstick). In keeping with the season, I'd describe her as sort of "girl next door who was a tiny bit getting into the Halloween spirit."

Mindy is definitely something. At first I really liked her but her "energetic semi-airhead unpredictability" routine has started to wear thin on me. :(

@Jimmy: Based on your info I may give it another shot. Weekends don't often work for me, and I purposely like to go when I expect fewer patrons to see if any dancers will come to me instead me it having to be the other way.

@Oliver: There are at least 6 other clubs I have visited where there is no cover or cover is $5 max.

@Techman: When I visit these places it's for only one vice, and that vice isn't food or alcohol. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Never mind. Saw her again after almost a year. Now on a real name, outside the club, friendship basis with her. All's well that ends well.

Thank you all for your continued feedback. Two points about my mindset for the visit: 1) I kind of expected to get (if not out and out ripped off) at least overcharged. It was the price of learning. I was OK with it. It's a little bit like going to a casino- do I expect to win? Not really, I expect to have a good time within my budget. This is better than a casino, because I definitely get *something* for my money! 2) Not only am I a newbie, but I don't expect to visit clubs like this very often. As such, every visit will be a splurge mentality for me to some extent. Further info: Dance prices were listed clearly in little binders on the table. The only variable cost was the tip. So Papi Chulo is correct, the prices were what they were. There was no cover charge, no overt security presence, and parking was free. I did not need the bathroom and cannot comment on cleanliness (or lack thereof) on that count. All of the dancers were Caucasian- Katya more the the Eastern European type, evidenced by her name. Destiny seemed to me to be just a *little* too old to be still dancing- nice body, in shape, but clearly older in her face. Might do it for some people but not me. I had checked their website ahead of time and they had the dancer schedule listed, which before my first time meant nothing to me but I think is a nice feature, because now I can go when different girls will be there for a different experience, and I can keep an eye out for the ones I like the most as I become familiar with them. Papi Chulo- Jessica's dance was $40 for the house plus my tip to her- I'd say about 15 minutes in a relatively public area- we were behind a wall but still totally accessible to anyone who may have walked by. Riley's was $150 to the house plus my tip to her, behind a curatin for 30 minutes (and I think we got a little bit of leeway, maybe 5 extra minutes). To be perfectly honest, I was not looking for "value". I was looking for a fun experience and to let loose for an afternoon. As I become more experienced will I have more of an eye for value and be more selective? Absolutely. But this time around, I went in eyes wide open knowing I'm new at this, looking to learn the setting and the process, and not expecting a perfect experience.
