It Is What It Is, It Isn't What It Isn't

I've been visiting Night Shift 3-4x/months for several months now. I would say it is my primary club for relaxing, but it's not my primary club for dances. Read on.

Night Shift used to open at 6PM but business was so slow that they now open from 8P-2A daily. Even so, it takes a while for this place to warm up- it's better than it used to be, but there's a more limited selection of talent and consequently not as much energy in the place for the first hour or so. I recently went on a Saturday night and it took noticeably less time for the place to hit its stride than on weeknights when I usually visit.

The place itself is very comfortable- neat and clean, comfy chairs, plenty of places to sit by the bar, stage, or at tables. There's a single protruding stage with a rotating pole that many dancers are quite adept at using. The bar staff in general is very polite and excels at checking on you. The bathroom has gone downhill a bit since the place opened- the door to the stall doesn't close, once there were no paper towels, and there's some graffiti in there now. The sorts of things you'd think are all easily correctible if they were totally on top of things. It's a shame because they put a ton of effort into the front of the house.
