I’ve seen stuff too at the grocery store with frozen treats for dogs. Not my dog though…any time he’s been given frozen anything he starts puking.

Eeeh…there is a heavy reality that underage dancers have heavy pressure to drink. (And for some of the under 21s, that was considered a plus for them and one of the reasons why they strip in the first place). As a baby faced newbie dancer, I tried to lie about my age as a polite way to refuse alcohol…but it didn’t stop customers from pressuring me to consume any at all.
Long before the 21+ law in Texas, a lot of Austin clubs voluntarily made their dancers be at least 21 out of fear of the liquor board, because they would crack down on the clubs there with a vendetta.
And don’t get me wrong, I agree with your stance that the law is unfair. I personally suspect the protective attitudes are from enough individuals (both red and blue) who want crackdowns to make it tougher for their own kids to do sex work, especially since the likes of it has gotten more glamorized in the media. They don’t give a hoot about anybody else who may potentially get forced into riskier workplace situations because of a lack of safety net out there.

I’ve wondered at the supply of barely legal strippers in the first place. Statistically, families are stronger than ever and rentals are unaffordable and I think I read some statistic that 61% of young adults still live at home? In dancer discussion boards, a lot of aspiring dancer questions are “how can I dance without my parents finding out” Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if this new law had similar origins as the Texas law that got passed just because a parent’s offspring died when driving home from the strip club.
I think most people are going to evaluate the options in front of them and choose what they consider the best.

If’s it’s any consolation. Some make-it-rainers at clubs known for that are in fact taking those individual dancers out the club. So it’s essentially a sugar daddy allowance, but with their own alternative delusions than the Brad and Mayzies have on Seeking.
Or sometimes, some are money throwing to have fun and let them be.

Also, does any dancers have the Dancers Resource app? I remember when I had subscribed to it, the listing formatting there was very much like TUSCL with how it was broken down by county and all, which made me wonder if they had used this site as a model for their app. I kinda wondered if that app was going to end up updating soon in a similar way. 🤔

Yeah, there’s plenty of clubs that have decent food. Most of it is going to be of the standard bar food variety, like wings and burgers. Some get a dedicated pizza oven, so when they heat up a frozen one, it’s pretty decent. King of Diamonds in Minnesota had a shrimp basket that lots of customers liked. I remember some review of Dirty’s in Phoenix recently gave a shout out to their food, and I agree that it’s pretty good. Perfect 10 off Bratton in Austin I remember actually had decent food and a couple of options were actually healthy. Somebody already mentioned Baby Dolls in Dallas and I agree that the daytime buffet was decent. I think the quality is comparable to a Ryan’s Buffet? Acropolis in Portland was already mentioned, and I agree about there
I don’t expect fine dining experiences at clubs, but there’s not much wrong with the food in a lot of places.

I remember this one club in Iowa had this thing about dancing on stage, and after stage then kinda doing teasing dances around the room. Like getting in front of the customer and either air dancing or even mini grind type of thing. Sorta like still being part of stage, but then it was more interactive on the floor. Weird format and one particular staff member went into full “I AM THE LAW YOU MUST OBEY” with enforcing that I couldn’t just take customers back for dances even though they were clearly already ready and the other dancer was already on her stage.
Other than that, maybe it would be “just got off stage” laziness, but otherwise I’ve never known that to be the norm.

But they aren’t just regular ol customers who spent their own money on the cover charge and drink. They are, unlike the dancers, getting paid to show up. They could throw at least a portion of the earnings if they wanted to be a team player and hype up the room.
If the club owners feel that’s a good use of their expenses, then that’s one thing. But if the dancers feel differently, then I don’t blame them one bit.

I think the soup/salad is the best thing for when it’s just eating something and getting it reasonably quickly and conveniently. (Depending on the location)
As far as entree items, cue the hurhurhur 🍆🍆…but I’ll go ahead and vote for eggplant parmigiana out of all the options.

Idk, I think talking about home prices on this forum (which skews older individuals who get to be on the positive side of home price appreciation) is kinda like going to a stripper forum and complaining about $50+/song lapdances (where the dancers keep the vast majority of it) 👀
