Tragic News From the Far Side
Mrs. Hornibastard told me at lunch today that she spoke to Yuni earlier this year about coming to visit us in America. She had also broached the subject with Yuni of a protracted visit - staying with us for 6 months or more. Yuni was reluctant because she didn’t have anyone she trusted to look after her stores. Then after she met and fell in love with that guy from Holland she had even more reason not to leave Indonesia for a long visit to the USA.

Going Boldly Where I Probably Should Not Have Gone
I agree Papi. I just had a little time on my hands and dropped in out of curiosity.

Papi - I saw three dancers. It’s possible there were 1 or 2 more who were occupied on a dark corner somewhere in the club. I didn’t get any dances because I didn’t want to get too cozy with anyone who might be carrying the Covid19 virus.

What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
CJKent, Can’t blame you for not believing the story about the offer. It’s so bizarre that I first tried to interpret as a joke. But my old pal was serious. Then I started to doubt his mental health. Despite the absurdity of the proposal, he was once a successful and well respected professional. I can’t show the email without divulging both his and my identities. Besides, any fool could fake an email, so that couldn’t really be considered dispositive evidence of the truth of my story.

Why I Stopped Praying
Twentyfive, I don’t recall saying my way was the only way. What I did say was that faith is useless as an intellectual compass because it can lead you literally ANYWHERE. This much should be self evident given how people of faith around the world believe such a welter of contradictory religious doctrines. By contrast, EVERYONE who uses empiricism instead of faith, no matter what views they may have started with, eventually comes to the same conclusions . . . the formula for water is H2O, the atomic weight of cobalt is 58.933194 and E=mc2. Meanwhile, if your faith is sufficiently deep and strong, you can believe ANYTHING (and, sure enough, that’s precisely what happens)!

There are atheists in fox holes. Unlike religious folk who believe in a vengeful, bloodthirsty God, atheists have nothing to fear in death. The way I look at it, I was not alive for billions of years before I was born and I survived THAT!

Rattdog, Deeply religious people praying and acting upon their faith are not harming anyone (unless they are lynching people who have the temerity to have been born black, are bombing Planned Parenthood clinics or flying airplanes into buildings). I appreciate that most religious people don’t behave in such outrageous ways, but that’s only because their faith is not absolute. They set limits on where their faith can take them.

Why I Stopped Praying
Twentyfive, When I was a kid, I recall getting excited when the science teacher said we were going to learn why things fall to the Earth. She then told us the story of Issac Newton in the apple orchard and ended up telling us that things fall because of gravity. I was immensely disappointed. I had learned NOTHING about why things fall. Even as a child I realized that giving something mysterious and unknown a name is NOT an explanation. It is a weak and empty intellectual dodge. The same applies to looking up at the starry night sky and asking how did all this come about and being satisfied with the answer “God did it.” It’s the same empty, intellectual dodge. Endlesssummer, You got my point exactly! Faith has NOTHING to do with intellectuality or a compass for finding truth. But some people follow faith expecting it to lead them to the truth (despite the obvious evidence of how faith has led billions of people to a welter of conflicting beliefs).

There is a reason why people say faith is useless as an intellectual compass. Religious people all around the world have faith. All Christian sects have faith. The same can be said of Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhism, Sikhs, Baha’i, Scientologists and every religion that has gone extinct. Faith led all of these deeply religious, sincere people to a bewildering array of contradictory beliefs. What better evidence could you ask for indicating that faith is worthless as an intellectual compass?

There will always be things we don’t fully understand. To this extent, there will always be room for God in some people’s minds. As a very astute and acerbic uncle of mine once put it, “If there is no God, then who the fuck pops up the next Kleenex?”

Rickdugan, I’ve known people who spent a lifetime caring selflessly for others. Trust me, the sanctimonious bitch I refer to was not one of them. She was “all halo but no wings.”

What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
Warrior15 - Hell yes I’d go if it were to SE Asia! But I wouldn’t have to be smuggled into the country on a container ship. I’d fly first class and Mrs. Hornibastard constitutes my local equivalent of a Green Card! Jackslash - I like adventures but not the kind of adventures where I don’t come back at all or where, if I do come back, I’m in a box!

Reverend Hornibastard’s Covid-19 Fashion Tips
Shailynn, Never judge a Hornibastard by his pecker. I spent a long career in international energy. This required me to live and travel overseas for nearly 40 years. I can get by quite well in six languages and can at least cuss in several more.

What Do You Think of While Canoodling? (Part Two)
I’m stuck in the house too. Mrs. Hornibastard asked me what I think about while we are canoodling and then got my motor running by telling me what she thinks about when we are getting sticky. She relives our “Golden Era.” Now I’m reliving it too (and Mrs. Hornibastard and I are fucking a lot more lately). This new regimen is so much more exhilarating than helping the kids with their homework!

Jackslash & Warrior - I agree with both of you. If women knew what we men were thinking (at any time, not just while we are on top of them), they’d never stop slapping us.

Another Religious Experience
There are two VIP areas. I have a membership to the older one (which I believe they call the “Executive Lounge”). There is also another, newer VIP area called the “Sanctuary.” Membership to the Sanctuary is pricier than for the older VIP area. In 2008 I paid $1,500 for a lifetime membership to the older section (the Sanctuary had not yet been added). I’m told you can upgrade your membership from the old VIP section to the newer Sanctuary section. It’s been a while since I asked about the upgrade price but I think it was $1,000. I asked for, and was given, a tour of the Sanctuary. I quickly decided there was insufficient difference between the two VIP areas to warrant the additional expenditure. The furniture and decor are a bit nicer and there is a balcony view of the main part of the club (which you don’t have in the older section). But the privacy levels are no better than in the old section. To be clear, the privacy levels in both sections are very good. The configuration of the lap dance cubicles are mostly the same in the two VIP areas as they are in the main part of the club. The main benefit of the lap dance cubicles in the VIP areas is that they are inaccessible to anyone but members, waitresses and management. Even the dancers can’t get in there unless accompanied by a member, a waitress or someone from management.

I kept thinking I’d previously met the aggravating but beautiful dancer describes in this Centerfolds review but, until now, I couldn’t remember when or where. Now I remember. https://tuscl.net/review.php?id=353011

FUCK IT!
What's the SHORTEST TIME you spent in a strip club?
The price of exploration is too often just disappointment. Like you, it’s not all that uncommon for me to size up a club and then leave without ever taking a seat and buying a drink. Sometimes they insist that I’m obliged to buy at least one drink. I usually ask them where in the world they got a strange idea like that as I walk out the door.

What are you doing for entertainment in this era of "social distancing?"
I spent some quality “family time” with my kids. First we drove downtown to the Greyhound bus station and bought some amphetamines then headed to the park where we fed the amphetamines to the squirrels, some ducks and some geese. It was glorious fun!

what's your longest TIME you stayed at a strip club at once?
Probably between 6 - 7 hours. Usually a “productive” visit only lasts 2 - 3 hours. The longer visits usually occur when I just can’t seem to get the attention I want from the ladies I prefer so I end up hanging around longer.

What would we do if strip clubs temporarily close?
It really won’t be that big a deal to me if the clubs close. Even if they stay open, I’m unlikely to visit them again until the health risk goes back to normal. Despite enjoying the clubs, even during ordinary times it’s not uncommon for me to go months without visiting any strip clubs.
