Muddy said, "I've seen a few threads recently where it's just a gigantic wall of text and I just say screw it I'm not fucking reading all that." I won't do that either, even though I might miss out on an otherwise well-written and informative review.
I think the biggest problem is that some of our contributors don't understand how much formatting affects the readability of anything posted online -- especially if someone is trying to read it on a small screen like a phone.
Adjudicators often mention the need to use paragraphs, but it's also important to put *spaces* between the paragraphs.
To me it's like snorkeling. If you dive below the surface of the water to get a closer look at something, you can hold your breath for maybe a minute, but you've got to come up for air now and then or you'll drown.

"$20 per song and $40 beyond the beads." Yodawg, are you sure? Unless there's been a recent price reduction (which I doubt), prices have been $25 and $45 for quite some time.

^^ PutaTester, thanks for your response to my query. I've definitely had some good experiences at Chicago Club in the past; I will be happy to bring my business their way again when I return to TJ this fall.

I've been to TJ and HK quite a few times since my first visit in 2014. My last visit was at the end of 2019, so my own personal experiences are out of date. Because I'm planning to make another trip there in September, I follow the reviews and TJ discussions here very closely.
With the $30 shakedown under discussion (whether for a table dance or a wine ficha), I'm wondering if using one of the private LD rooms in the Miami Room is a workable alternative. We all used to say that paying $22 for five minutes alone with a girl in a room with a frosted door was a waste of money, since for $9 (then) you could buy a girl a drink and actually get an incredible amount of two-way contact right at your booth, sometimes for much longer than five minutes. But if that's now militantly frowned upon, what about these LD cubbies-with-a-door? Are they still $22? I've only done this twice before (and for half price with my VIP card). The last time, my girl stripped naked and gave me a five-minute BBBJ -- which was more than I had ever gotten in a booth -- after which I took her upstairs for 30 minutes of unbridled fun. Your thoughts?

I think it's different for every woman. I knew girls in high school who never looked better later on than they did back then. On the other hand, there were always a few "ugly ducklings" who blossomed into women so incredibly beautiful you can't believe they're the same person.
I will admit that I'm drawn to the beauty of women in their early 20s to early 30s, but I have known other women who have become more beautiful much later in life. If they stay fit, their beauty can last quite a while and, in some case, actually increase. I've gotten dances from beautiful women I knew were in their 50s. Maybe I didn't know them at their peak, but what I saw (and experienced up close) sure convinced me that beauty is not always fleeting.

I suspect that cartel thugs might not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, but I would think they know they need La Zona Norte to remain safe enough for the tourists to come and keep the businesses afloat. Right now I'll bet it safer than the "posh Tijuana neighborhood" where the current HK owner lives and was the target of an assassination attempt.

Not a bad review (lots of useful info here), but you said, "Protect C+++o from mgmt by not bragging about her level of service so she can continue doing what she does best." This is after you wrote there were only two girls working -- "one heavy set and one tiny black spinner named C+++o" and then bragged about her level of service.
Any TUSCL member with VIP access can see these reviews. I'm pretty sure if management saw this, they'd have a good idea which girl you were talking about -- not to mention any creeper who now comes in and tells her "Some guy online says you sucked him off bareback and fucked him silly when he came back the next day. I want to do all that, too. Today."
When writing a review and describing all the probably-non-legal things a dancer does, don't name her. Period.

RonJax2, I can't answer all your questions, but I totally agree with what others have said about the walk between CC and HK. I've done it plenty of times and have never had a problem or felt unsafe, whether during the day or well after dark. As devl_dawgg said, I can't imagine anyone taking a taxi. It's a two-minute walk -- maybe three, tops. Just walk with conviction and keep in mind there's no need to talk to any people you meet on the street.
Like rugrat, I've had BBBJs in TJ without paying anything extra -- with both HK and CC girls. In fact, without even asking for it, I've had BBBJs in TJ more often than covered. [I'm not arguing with devl_dawgg, who said, "I'd be surprised if you are able to negotiate BBBJ with most of the higher end girls at HK (at least that's my experience)." My standards probably run a bit lower than his! LOL] Of course, for me, a BBBJ in TJ does not include CIM; it is merely a warmup for the main course, served in multiple positions. :-)

Nice write-up, craigers691. Thanks for the clarification about the "1" rating on the dancers. You are 100% correct that the "How were the people?" question should be "How were the dancers?" which is what we care about. In writing reviews myself, I'm always taken aback by the vagueness of the "How were the people?" question.
I think RonJax2 was asking not about the $30 deposit on the hotel room, but instead was referring to this: "One of the staff (black shirt, not a masero) steps up to my table aggressively and says that I am getting a lap dance and I need to pay him $30 (or some similar arbitrary amount, I forget exactly how much). "

That was Bare Elegance. I say "was" because from all reports I've read here, the hanging-out-nude thing is no longer happening. And dance prices have gone up from what had already been a high level for the area. Check recent reviews:

Great review, John 10227; thanks for submitting this. Readers not familiar with the club should know that the $45 dances and the $25 dances are done, literally, side by side, and what separates them is a beaded curtain that offers little in the way of privacy. As a practical matter, most mongers will find that the $45 dances offer very little that isn't available for $25. Of course, YMMV, with any girl, and on either side of the beads.

Yes, you should definitely waterproof your pants. Before you plan to go out, get a 55-gallon drum of liquid latex rubber, pry off the top, then put a small step stool down in the drum. Get your strip-club pants on, then slowly lower yourself into the drum. You only need to have the latex up to your waist, so you can use the step stool to make sure you're at the right level. It will also help you get out of the drum. Once you're out, stand still for about 30 minutes until the latex dries, and you'll be all set.
Oh, and make sure to pee before you start the waterproofing process, since it will be quite a while before you'll be able to use the restroom. Of course, if you do have pee, your pants are waterproof, so really, you're all set.

Any place that interests me.
Nice article, Minnow. It was good getting to meet you at Follies back in its heyday.
I’m not sure I have a solid answer to the question of “Does having a wing man in club visits enhance one's enjoyment?” – especially as it relates to getting more dancer attention, insider tips on a club, or expanded knowledge on who the best dancers are as well as ROB's who should be avoided. As you say, it depends on many factors.
First off, I’ll say that I have been to more than 300 strip clubs in North America. Back in college (when dinosaurs roamed the earth), I went to a few strip clubs – and then only with friends – but that was *way* before the era of lap dances and extras. I gave up strips clubs when I got married, but returned to the hobby about 25 years ago. Since then, at least 95% of my strip club visits have been done solo – and 100% without the knowledge of any of my family, co-workers, or non-TUSCL friends.
Since joining in 2014, I’ve reached out to a number of TUSCL members because their writing showed them to be thoughtful, insightful, and, often, possessed of a good sense of humor. In my travels, I have met about 40 of them, at least half a dozen of whom are women who have posted here. Most of these female TUSCLers are dancers (of course), but one – a non-dancer – is a lesbian and a dedicated strip club monger, just like the rest of us. What a delightful and interesting meet-up that was!
Interactions in clubs with fellow mongers can certainly be fun, helpful, and informative, but much of the time the music is so loud that trying to hear one another is a challenge. In addition, it probably doesn’t help that my attention is more focused on the girls working the room than on the monger sitting next to me. (I’m sorry, dude, I’m not trying to ignore you, but holy shit, did you see that blonde over there?)
For me, I’m not sure that sitting with another monger has had any measurable effect, one way or the other, on being approached by dancers. I do appreciate intel shared about specific dancers (especially ROBs), but I’m experienced enough to know that just because Monger X (maybe whom I’ve just met) says he had a good or bad time with Dancer Y, that doesn’t guarantee that my experience would be the same. That’s why the TUSCL mantra is YMMV. But I will say this: No matter where I go and what I do, I learn something from every single person I meet. And that’s a good thing.

Jimmy108's comment is generally correct, but not about there being no nude clubs in North Carolina. There *is* one -- Southside Johnny's in Greensboro -- and I'm 97% certain it's the only one. FYI, because it's a nude club, no alcohol is sold there, but you can BYO. Read the reviews before going.

I, too, have a blessing and a curse. My blessing is that I can read discussions on TUSCL. My curse is that I can’t turn back the hands of time to un-read creepy pointless posts like this – especially ones that admit “I don't know if there is any point to all this...” There is not, perhaps other than the OP’s need to make a narcissistic boast about sexual assault imagined as some sort of super power. It is certainly not that.

Hey, snowtime, good to see you posting again. I thought this was a fine review (ignore the "incoherent" remarks).
One correction to your otherwise accurate review: The other-side-of-the-beaded-curtain dances are $45, not $40. Definitely not worth it (even if they *were* $40) because 1) the beads provide no actual privacy, especially if there's another couple in the cubby right next to you behind the beads, and 2) you can get pretty much the same mileage for $25. I know this because I've done both -- and learned a useful lesson in economics.

Nice write-up, doc. Reminds me of the time many years ago when I got my very first (and unexpected) "extra" in a strip club. It was somewhere in Toronto -- quite possibly this very club -- and it was a covered BJ for $75 CAD in full view of others in the room. The Asian's comment to you of "This is where we do it" certainly had a familiar ring to it. I had fun so, clearly, I have no shame.
