This place is right next to the airport and to very conservative Clovis.

And that is because of the reckless printing of money by the leadership of both parties, with no economic activity to back it up.
Stopping the economic squirrel cage meant something had to crash. It should have been the real estate and securities bubbles. But they instead decided to crash our currency. They printed money to cover expenditures beyond tax revenues at a level not seen since Weimar Germany. It was a stupid move to buy compliance with the COVID shut down.

Tetradon, the kinds of reasonable gov't spending involved in Build Back Better are not the cause of inflation. It is the EXTREME spending with no economic activity to back it up that the COVID bail out payments were. And all those did was to prop up the securities and real estate markets.
Build Back Better and the Green New Deal will always be paid for by recirculation and by upper income tax hikes. A net increase in gov't spending above and beyond taxation will not be there.
The COVID bail out money was not covered by tax hikes or, for the most part by recirculation. THis was completely reckless. It was when they started talking in Trillions instead of Billions. That was one hell of a lot of green ink on paper. So our currency has been devalued and this change is only starting to be felt.
Universal Basic Income will mean very large monthly payouts, but money given to poor people recirculates. YOu only need to raise taxes because it also fattens the fat, and only to the extent that that is happening.

Yeah, in some retail areas it has gotten to be a ghost town. Economic and inflationary fears, making people feel they have to belt tighten, and that compounding it.
Capitalism has not worked since the 1870's and COVID was the final straw.
Best thing now is to pass Biden's complete build back better, with the upper income tax hikes, and then the Green New Deal.

One attractive thing about EV's is regenerative braking. It is just just the extra range, it is that you are not wearing something out in stop and go driving. I think most of the EV's, having regenerative braking, will use the braking control electronics when hooked to an AC charging station. But with the DC charging stations I think they go around this and use regulation electronics which are in the station and which are going to be bigger. Then control and coordination is accomplished via digital communications between the vehicle and the ground station.
11kWh is not that much of a battery. But they probably mean the charging rate of 11kW AC charging.

Yes, there are very legitimate economic fears right now. Inflation makes people feel that they have to belt tighten, but that makes for even more of a slow down. Providers of goods and services, faced with a lower volume of commerce, will have to raise prices to meet their fixed costs. So it gets worse, and know one knows how much worse it will get.
Capitalism has not worked since the 1870's. COVID was the final blow to it.
