You should count yourself very lucky that you ever came across any women who are turned on by doing this. Very hard to find, someone who has an oddball fetish that compliments well your own somewhat oddball preference.
Re the sex workers, my best guess is they get creeped out that you ask for this as though it's a very usual thing to ask for. It's not. Extra creepiness points if you come across like you expect them to get off on doing it. They perhaps worry your intent is to ambush ass rape them.
Generally, you are going to be asking for your favorite thing from women for whom it's not their favorite thing. So, try find out what THEIR favorite thing actually is, and offer to do it. Pretty sure this is a good approach, even though I've never read "How to Win Friends and Influence People".
