Hildebrand - Introduction to Numerical Analysis
Introduction to numerical analysis / [by] F. B. Hildebrand
Hildebrand, Francis Begnaud (1974, seems to be originally 1956) a very old book for the subject, lets see what they thought.
So in 1974 access to computers was still limited, and programmable calculators were still pretty new.
And then back in 1956, not sure what people had, and it would only have been a few people, like large institutions and Military - NASA.
The book does talk about the use of slide rules.
So book talks about numerical solution to equations. Multiple equations and unknowns.
Talks about a coefficient matrix, and having a column matrix, and putting them together to make a rectangular augmented matrix.
They talk about using Cramer's Rule and Determinants. BUt then they explain that this is very slow. And I can attest to this.
And then they talk about Gaussian Elimination.
This is Gauss Reduction.
Then there is another wrinkle added for Gauss-Jordan Reduction, but this goes a little bit slower.
You do need to have some stuff in there to minimize the loss of accuracy when you have a broad spread of number absolute values in the coefficient matrix.
And then you have to be on watch for singular matrix, or rank being lower than the dimension. And it is not just a literal determinant of zero. You need to watch for overflow and underflow of your floating point scheme, and really you want to interdict things which compromise your accuracy.
He talks about Crout Reduction. And he has an appendix to develop it.
Came in 1941 , P. D. Crout in Trans AIEE.

Enforcing the prostitution law is extremely hard. Usually the only way then can do it is by shredding the US Constitution.
And CA has not decriminalized working the blade. All they have done is lift a preposterous law saying people are loitering with intent to engage in prostitution. That was pretty much a status crime and hence unconstitutional.

So can we find a forum for the Chevy Bolt? Want much more info about it. Like they say the parking brake is activated by an electrical switch. You can use this switch whether the vehicle is on or not.
Well for me that only raises more questions. Suppose the battery is flat? Suppose the electricals fail while the brake is supposed to be set. I want to know how it works. I wouldn't buy a combustion car without knowing how it works.
So I don't think EV's are getting worked on by owners much. But there still might be a forum, and that would be a big plus for it.

She was a pill head herself, as attested to by her daughter Patty. What Nancy meant was that you don't need beds in treatment programs. Well some people do need that, or they think that they do.

This type of infection can occur when a pregnant female dog is infected with CPV2. The adult may develop immunity with little or no clinical signs of disease. The virus may have already crossed the placenta to infect the fetus. This can lead to several abnormalities. Prevention is the only way to ensure that a puppy or dog remains healthy because the disease is extremely virulent and contagious. Appropriate vaccination should be performed starting at 7–8 weeks of age, with a booster given every 3–4 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age. Pregnant mothers should not be vaccinated as it will abort the puppies and could make the mother extremely sick. The virus is extremely hardy and has been found to survive in feces and other organic material such as soil for up to 1 year. It survives in extremely low and high temperatures. Puppies are generally vaccinated in a series of doses, extending from the earliest time that the immunity derived from the mother wears off until after that passive immunity is definitely gone.[29] Older puppies (16 weeks or older) are given 3 vaccinations 3 to 4 weeks apart.[18] The duration of immunity of vaccines for CPV2 has been tested for all major vaccine manufacturers in the United States and has been found to be at least three years after the initial puppy series and a booster 1 year later.[30]
A dog that successfully recovers from CPV2 generally remains contagious for up to three weeks, but it is possible they may remain contagious for up to six. Ongoing infection risk is primarily from fecal contamination of the environment due to the virus's ability to survive many months in the environment. Neighbours and family members with dogs should be notified of infected animals so that they can ensure that their dogs are vaccinated or tested for immunity. A modified live vaccine may confer protection in 3 to 5 days; the contagious individual should remain in quarantine until other animals are protected.[31]
