Which movie is it where sometime in the 20's or 30's some men were walking into a party and a male character greets them by saying, "Finest food and pussy in New York City" ?
I think it was either Cotton Club or Once Upon a Time in America. And what was the name of the actor?
His roles in Brian’s Song, The Godfather, and Misery were enough for a top level actor. I forgot he was in Rollerball!
Ray Liotta and James Caan passing within a short time of each other - that sucks.
The article didn’t mention his role in Las Vegas. I found him to be good in that show too. But, I primarily watched it to see the hotties in bikinis poolside.
My favorite role for him was the Hotel boss in the TV show Vegas. Mainly because of the hot girls in sexy dresses they had parading around all the time.
"Mississippi" was the James Caan character's name in El Dorado. "Colorado" was a similar character played by Ricky Nelson in Rio Bravo. I like both movies, but El Dorado remains a family favorite.
It's not like in the army where you kill 'em from a mile away. You gotta get right up to 'em and BINK, blow their brains out, get that all over your nice Ivy League suit.

"Long Way To The Top" - School of Rock Reunion Concert LIVE
I tried to do it from memory, I think I got it close.
But here:
Sonny : Hey, whaddya gonna do, nice college boy, eh? Didn't want to get mixed up in the Family business, huh? Now you wanna gun down a police captain. Why? Because he slapped ya in the face a little bit? Hah? What do you think this is the Army, where you shoot 'em a mile away? You've gotta get up close like this and - bada-BING! - you blow their brains all over your nice Ivy League suit. C'mere...
[kisses Michael's head]
Michael : Sonny...
Sonny : You're taking this very personal. Tom, this is business and this man is taking it very, very personal.
Note also that NYPD Police Capt. McCluskey hit Michael in the face hard enough to break his jaw. Michael was just trying to protect his father from this corrupt pig.
Well some one also hit the daughter of Americgo Boneseara hard enough to break her jaw. We are left having to ask ourselves whether or not we really believe her father's version of events.

last commentGreat actor. Worst godfather ever however brief. But he had to be for Michael to eventually shine. But as an actor he was great

Notice that in The Godfather movies that Michael is the only one who's name is the same for the family as it is for everyone else.
Santino is Sonny. Fredo is Freddy, and Constanza is Connie.

Misery yes! Two of my favorite actors.

That beating Carlo took was extreme. But that was also why Carlo helped Sonny get ambushed and killed.
Remember James Caan with Kathy Bates in Misery?

How great of an actor was James Caan you ask? He was twice voted as New York City's Italian of the Year...and he's not even Italian!
