True, Papi. Aside from the fact that it's faster, easier, and brighter than my phone, in earthquake country I think it's just a good idea to have a little flashlight, and not drain your phone dry if you need to look for something for a while. I'm like the boyscout of PLs

I've carried a (very small) flashlight ever since the common roaming blackouts in CA at the turn of the century. Those don't happen anymore, but the flashlight is useful all the time anyway. Especially in a dark strip club, in case you drop something, as happens from time to time. But not a bad idea in general for earthquake country. Not an option where I am. I suppose I'd reconsider if I lived in a free state -- although I usually drink at the club, so again, most of the time not an option. Multiple members here have said they carry.

Back when I was married, I always had a gym bag in the car. It was part of my overall camouflage -- needed wife to know "oh, he ALWAYS has gym bag in car; nothing weird about that". In it, gym clothes (in case I went to the gym after work) and street clothes (in case I went to the gym in the morning, showered, and then needed to change for work) and towel. That way, there was always cover for why I came home showered and/or in a different shirt from when I left. And since it was ALWAYS in the car trunk, nothing to raise an eyebrow over. No need for a bag for that anymore :)
I do have a set of stuff I always bring to the SC, but it's not in a bag. I pull lit all together and shove it in my jacket pockets before I hit the club. Things I always take with me to the SC: wallet, phone, cash, mints, portable phone battery, small flashlight, beanie (it can get cold in SF at night, any time of year), that kind of stuff.

I use the train just because I like drinking with the girls. But one of the quirks of the SF SC scene, despite how horrible it is to park there, is that it's not difficult to find parking near any of the SCs. Park at the AMC for MBOT/NCT, park behind the Warfield or the hotel on Mason for CH, park at the MOMA for GC, and the covered (i.e., more expensive) parking garages always have spots open for the Broadway clubs (the cheaper uncovered lots, not always).

Agree with this. I only did a few escorts before I realized it wasn't for me, but between those experiences and reading the forums for decades, I think if you want 100% security, you will end up having a lot of escorts walking away, because many won't agree to a process that gives you 100% security but reduces hers -- she, after all, both needs the money worse than you, and is at far greater risk of getting ripped off. IME, most mid-range and up escorts want payment up front; if you want to pay at the end, switch to OTCs.
So, if you're paying up front, that means all your precautions have to happen before she show up:
- Stick with well-reviewed escorts, and learn to spot fake reviews. "A friends says some escorts fake reviews" is incredibly weak sauce. Most of those are easy to spot. Plus most review sites will tell you the number of reviews a reviewer has -- an escort won't have 45 reviews across 10 years, but many real reviewers do. There's no excuse for failing to do this, it is not a difficult problem, and is the #1 thing to keep you from getting ripped off.
- Stick with mid-range and above escorts. I'll kinda sorta believe your claim that a $200 escort isn't low-end bottom of the barrel in your area, but I'll do it with an expression on my face that connotes disbelief :)
- If she's walking out of the room for any reason, you're getting ripped off. You're not allowed to hold her there, that's kidnapping, but I'd be pretty shocked if she came back.

I would have done a better job at ensuring she's well-reviews. That's not a 100% guarantee, but it does raise your chances of a positive experience, a ton.
