BitcoinLol you do realize its easier to trace a bitcoin transaction than trace the movement of a $100 bill?!?! Its not untraceable at all and was never claimed to be? How do you think Silk Road was closed down?
You have some serious bias against BTC and its clouding your judgment. Your arguments are weak and biased.

Bitcoin@Papi
Absolutely governments can create their own crypto. In our case the US Fed is already going down this road. But thats not the point. They will create an inflatable currency that can produced at will be The Fed. It would work the same way as they are doing right now with fiat $. Pump it up at will!
The special characteristic of Bitcoin is that it has a limited supply (like a physical asset such as gold). Thats really an important distinction and why Yellen is attempting to demonize it often "being used by "criminals". Her statement is fundamentally not supported by the evidence and she draws no comparisons of the massive criminal activity using untraceable physical currency. She says this because the general public is frankly pretty dumb to understand what's going on and this is an easier story for the GP to digest vs The Fed just wants its use to be minimized. Loss of control by Treasury is the real point of opposition (because they want to be able to adjust fiat numbers at will).
Digital currency is not a passing fad or just some kind of smoke and mirrors pump scheme on some Reddit board. The real ones serve a valuable market function and the market is responding.
There is an interesting article by the St. Louis Fed on Etherium if anyone is interested.

BitcoinRevel in your misplaced hate.
I have no love for whats been going on at the Fed. But fiat has increased +25% baseline since pandenic and projected +40% post pandemic. These are horrifying increases by any interpretation. Commodities are a no brainer...
Hey securities will do fine if thats your thing...pent up demand and stimulus will mean inflation and stocks are also a great bet in that environment.
The market is in another upswing and fundamentals are out of kilter

OT: What are your investing thoughts going forward?Don't fight the Fed is the golden rule. i.e If the Fed is pumping money don't take the other side of that bet. There are players saying the Fed is overdoing it and I tend to agree. IMO we are heading to an epic bubble and the actions in the market seem to tell that story.
Don't try and time it because 9/10 you will lose. Also if you don't participate you will definitely lose. Stay long and strong.
I hedged this outcome with BTC but even if I diddnt

OT: Maglev TrainsProjects like this requires centralized planning and long term commitment on the economic model. Europe and especially Asia does a much better job on these kind of infrastructure projects.
The US doesn't seem to have the appetite or patience to take on these type of projects.

OT: Why Are Utilities So Expensive@Papi for those in the the business this is all academic. The electric utility grid has a socialized cost model which has been in place since the early century. For those that get triggered by the word socialized it was made that way or those in the rural and poor areas would never have gotten electricity to begin with. Also, 20 year ROI's are common in the biz and no business in their right mind would take that risk without certain gaurentees of regulated return. Soo everyone pays their fair share based on usage regardless of their economic class and everyone gets served (nothing socialist about paying your fair share).
You seem to be pointing to the irony of left leaning agendas trying to help the poor while increasing their financial burden because of the push for renewable energy. Hmmm...perhaps we should justalso remove all that expensive fossil fuel exhaust treatment too. How about the environmental abatement for mercury, asbestos and environmental disruption from these fossil plants. Oh, btw the poor often live near these plants and most at risk from those effects.
But there is definateky a fallacy that 100% can come from renewable energy. We will always need concentrated base load generation (when the wind ain't blowing and the sun ain't shining) Nuclear and mass storage is the logical solution. Natural gas is a stop gap. Coal is a dying a long slow death.

Remembering VIPsLike a year and a half after I met her again while on SA. Seriously she was hinting at it and I didd'nt take the hint until after the next day and my buzz wore off. I felt sorta douchy because she was talent and nice. But me not remembering was likely a buzzkill for her. I don't blame her.

BTW our present governor had the foresight and the stones to get weed legalized and online gaming. The weed and gaming implentation has been moving along suprisingly quick. This was stonewalled by previous administrations. She is ok in my book.
