@ Mr Johnson. From my experience here the overall talent tends to be on the higher end for the East side of Portland. Mostly white but usually a good variety of body types and styles. I've seen everything from dancers with shaved heads and face tats (though she had a killer body) To completely natural with zero tats. Drink prices seem to be a bit more than other places I usually stop at but lets be real anyone picking their club over 50 cent difference in drink prices probably shouldn't be hitting the clubs. IMO it's 100% worth at least a scouting visit

Thanks for the review. I was hoping this place might take the place of Shimmers as the value dance club but doesn't really sound like it. Full price for older chunky dancers even with higher milage doesn't really appeal to me

Your receipt works like a "free pass" aka you still have to buy the drink so it's something like $10. I've been to Lake City Vu a few times since reopening and it's been a disappointment every time. Most of the Young hotties have either moved on or put on significant weight during the lockdown
@Ericinthe206 All 3 of the Lake City clubs are really slow atm. Pandoras is probably your best bet if you're in the area even at night. Last time I was there I didn't see any dancers I'd consider top tier but almost all were at least attractive enough to watch on stage. I think the problem the Vu clubs are having is they're trying to charge full price for mediocre dances. They used to be able to get away with it having so many young cute athletic dancers but now that the quality of their dancers has gone down there's zero reason to go to either of them over Pandoras

@ Putty I Googled "Magic Tavern Portland". Looks like it's a new club in the same part of town as Casa. Used to be called Catfish Lou's based on the pics that came up on said search. Looks like it's fairly small but clean with a red/black theme.

Pretty spot on review. From my experience DV8 usually doesn't have many top tier dancers but generally better than average overall with a few lookers. their dancers also tend to have a better attitude than a lot of other places. With the black light at least you might get an idea if your dancer does extras if she hasn't changed outfits for awhile lol.

Sounds like this club has really upped its level of attractive dancers in the last year or so. Last time I stopped here it was just meh with mostly chubby dancers but almost every review lately has pointed out the club has some real lookers.
Oh and @ BuckMcNutter a $40 dance in Portland is pretty much always nude

This is the type of club I make my first or second stop when I'm hitting up multiple clubs. First couple stops are always the eye candy clubs to get me in the mood. Once I've run out of singles it's off to the dive club for less restrictive dances.

That's okay, plenty of other options out there besides strip clubs. I'm old enough to remember when they weren't so greedy and clubs like Ricks were so packed you'd have to wait at the door for someone to leave because they'd reach maximum occupancy. Now days they're lucky if they can even fill 1/5 of the seats on a weekend night and most of those seats are occupied by people not buying dances.

I usually avoid DT like the plague but I've always been curious about this club. Sounds like a great place to check out some eye candy before looking elsewhere for more fun.

They start charging the cover fairly early into the evening. Last time I came here it was around 6pm and they were already charging the cover. I agree the stage shows here are great but the whole pay the door guy for dances thing is a dealbreaker for me. I bought dances here one time and never again. If they got rid of that policy it would probably be my go to club for dances when I'm in Portland now that shimmers ruined their dances.

Last time I was here on a weekend night (a few years ago) They had a cover but only on Friday and Saturday nights. It was something like $3 so it wasn't a big deal but still nice to hear it's gone.
I'm assuming by no re entry you mean you have to get the pat down again since there's no cover.
To bad about the overweight dancers though. One of the reason I always make a stop here when I'm in town are all the young in shape natural dancers they're famous for.

Charging the dancers more while limiting their earning potential is not a recipe for success. Their only hope would be to attract hotter dancers that can get away with overcharging for air dances but I don't see a dump like this place being able to do that. They'll either have to ease up on the rules or they'll be yet another closed club in no time.

Well this sucks. Shimmers was always my last stop on my Portland strip club tour when in town. I'd always hit up a few other clubs first for eye candy and end my night here for better value dances. Guess I'll have to read some more reviews before my next trip to figure out where to end my night.

The three downtown clubs I'll lump together. Don't bother unless you need a place to sober up after an event. Mostly just tourist traps with little to no fun, high parking fees, the annoyance of being asked for change on your way, and the possibility of walking into a protest

I'll go ahead and expand on my previous comment a bit and give you a breakdown of all the clubs in the area since your new. Extras can be found at all clubs in the Seattle area minus one however the price and ease of finding them vary greatly.
Pandoras dayshift is the extras spot if you want options. Those options aren't always top shelf but you'll have choices
Pandoras nightshift many more options, generally at least a couple hot ones, extras are harder to find and will cost more but most will at least offer a decent topless dance
Sugars basically exact same breakdown as Pandoras but options are limited. 1-2 dancers on dayshift and 4-6 on nights
Kittens exact same breakdown as Pandoras again only expect to be quoted one price and then have the dancer turn around and demand an extra $100
Playground. really good eye candy small club zero privacy in the main lap dance room. Also this club can be very pushy with the ladies drinks
SinRock Don't bother this club sucks. decent looking dancers but very strict rules. I was denied entry once for having on warm ups like it's some high class Vegas club.
Lake City Vu was my go to for eye candy pre covid but most the hot dancers either moved on or got chunky during the time off.
Dreamgirls Ricks. Best eye candy club in Seattle. Not 100% hotties but almost always a few and one 1-2 fugly ones on a weekend night. Not really worth buying more than a couple dances as extras are hard to find unless you feel like paying $500+ for a room and the tip

If you're not looking for extras Dream Girls just down the street in the evening is a better option. Their dancers are at least imo the best looking in town. The VU even further used to but a lot of their dancers seem to have put on a few pounds during the lockdowns and haven't been able to lose them since.

Bought dances from that same Asian girl. She was indeed very fun and cute. I was actually going to write a review but seems kind of pointless now to write basically the exact same thing you did one day later. I don't need a month free that bad lol. I'll review my next club visit instead

The fact you said don't come here for dances was enough to convince me this isn't a club add. No club would ever tell people to not buy dances in an add.
