Not very many girls on a weekend night
I was there this past Wednesday night. Nine dancers on shift between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. Maybe four customers at the most. But, I came to see a particular dancer that I knew would be there. The Deja Vu clubs don't maintain Instagram accounts that help customers know who the dancers are and when they're working. Three independent clubs in the region do a fairly good job of that; Pandora's is the best. The other two are The Playground and Sugar's. All three post lineups of their dancers. Pandora's, does this almost once or even twice per shift. The other two, less often. Kittens doesn't post lineups, but you can tell enough from the reposts it makes of the individual dancers when they're working. Those are the clubs to patronize. Maybe the Deja Vu-owned clubs will get the message some day.

Pretty dead club, but she brought me to life
The dancer who acted more like a "cleaning lady," may have just been avoiding dancing. Some dancers would rather avoid the stage altogether. They just don't like being the center of attention. The former Talents West clubs used to have a procedure whereby a dancer who didn't want to go on stage could either clean the stage, pole, and mirror during her time on stage, or pay an extra fee (I think it was $40/shift) to avoid the stage during her shift. @Wintersport73: As the old adage goes, "There's somebody for everybody."

Good for you! You learned from your earlier experience at DG-Ricks, to detect a hustler. If you got a single dance with dancer #2, she likely would have asked for $40, as that is the standard price for a single Seattle dance. For that much money, a dancer should give you topless with touching privileges. If she doesn't, she should be outted. Pandora's doesn't have an ATM. Instead, it has a ridiculous procedure of giving the customer "poker chips" that are worth $5. each. You pay for them with your debit/credit card. Then, when you go to use them to pay for dances, the dancers hate that system, because when the dancer redeems them for cash, the club takes 10% of that. (This is an old system that dates to the Talents West clubs days, pre-2010. It was labeled as money laundering in the FBI raids and prosecution that forced the closure of the TW's four clubs at the time.)

Standard corporate club
All of the local Deja Vu clubs have a nightly "house dance." It's announced as a special as three dances for $60. In fact, the customer doesn't get any more time with a dancer than usual. The three songs are cut short so they only equal the time of two songs. So, you're still paying the same as two $30. dances. Furthermore, the club takes at $10. cut of that from the dancer. The dancers don't like that. I use the house dance to my benefit. If I see a dancer I'd like to do the special with, I tell her, "I'll be glad to get dances with you, but after the house dances is over." They appreciate that, so they don't have to give the club $10. Sometimes they'll go and seek out another customer during that time, but more likely they'll spend the time with me during the special. Two other comments: 1. I'd avoid any dancer that upsells for topless. 2. The Vu clubs aren't the only clubs in the region that have its waitresses try to get customers to buy drinks for the dancers. The Playground does that. Maybe Club SinRock does too, but I haven't been to that club in years. Pandora's, Kittens, and Sugar's (the other independent clubs) don't.

Solid Side Trip Worth Another Visit
Good thing you avoided "Winter." I'm surprised to hear that she used that name. She did for a while, maybe a year ago, but changed back to "Naima (pronounced nah-EE-ma)" for which she is better known. Moreover, she's a well-documented scammer. Good that you avoided her. @ 59: Yes, the Doghouse Bar and Grill is under the same ownership as Kittens.

The dancer "Sam," whom you mentioned is also an escort. She's on one of the well-known escort websites. Details by PM if any of you wish.

Thursday Night Visit
Although all the Seattle club are nude, without alcohol. It's rare to find a dancer in Seattle that goes nude on stage. They're just too lazy to take it all off. If you want alcohol with a strip club, there are two clubs that have a bar next door to them: Kittens, and The Playground. Kittens even gives you a ticket to use for in and out privileges to go to the bar/restaurant next door.

A Unique Experience at Kittens.
@ RockAllNight: You may not be familiar with Kittens or its dancers. If so I can understand your comment. "Unique," mentioned in the title and in the second paragraph is a dancer at Kittens. So, the OP did mention the name of one dancer--the one he got dances with.

Rather than the drivers of the other cars staring at *you,* maybe they were gawking at all the street walkers on Aurora Ave. They're there any time of the day and night. There are even You Tube videos people have filmed of all the street walkers.

I'm in love with a stripper
Two thoughts: 1. I have never gone for a doubles approach when two dancers team up and ask me to do a double with them. Usually, I like one but not the other. Just as you said, "TBH if it was just Julia I would've taken it . . ." 2. @GrayFox and BubbleYum: If you two think the OPs comments are too explicit, you both are too easily offended. Strip clubs aren't for you!

Definitely a Pandora's review. The dancers mentioned are all Pandora's dancers. (But, this type of mistake happens occasionally. Still good info. and we know which club it was meant for.)

Satisfied, and Charmed
@Pussylicker2: As for Seattle cops policing the strip clubs, they don't even have the normal personnel and resources to respond to typical, and more important police concerns such as murders, shootings, gang violence, car thefts, and robberies. Just take a drive up and down Aurora Ave in the late afternoons to evenings, and see all the street walkers present. Rarely are cops concerned.

Busy weekend night at Pandoras
@ eric and jb: One reason the two Deja Vu clubs you mentioned between the two of you (Lake Forest Park and the now-closed Lakewood/Tacoma club) have/had great stage shows is because of the design of the stage. It has three steps completely around their three sides, leading down to the floor. Dancers can easily "mingle" with the front row, making for some great stage action. Washington state law actually requires the front row to be six feet from the stage, but with movable chairs, that's easily avoided.

Wednesday night at the Playground
@ techman: Washington state law only allows nude on stage. Lap dances are supposed to be bikini, so anything you get more than that, is a bonus. Nude lap dances can be had, but at the clubs better known for extras.

I had the same experience, including prices, at Devil's Triangle a month ago. I've always advised not going to the three downtown Seattle strip clubs (Deja Vu-Seattle, Devil's Triangle, and Dreamgirls at Sodo) because they are tourist trap/traveler-oriented clubs. The dancers don't care about cultivating regulars. They just try to get as much out of each customer as possible. (I was interested in a particular dancer at D.T. from her Instagram, but she proved to be a disappointment.) The independent clubs in Seattle are the best value. Kittens and Pandora's, are about five miles away from Deja Vu, Seattle. Recommend going to those clubs for better value and selection.

Previously more open... but not today
You mentioned 7 or 8 dancers on shift. That's why you didn't get the high hustle. When there's 50 dancers on, like last night when I was there, is when you get the bombardment. I've said this before in other comments about Kittens: It has too many dancers. There's a reason why that is, which I've stated previously.

It's conceivable that someone else would find this appealing
I've posted this comment before in reviews of this club. It's the most restrictive club in the region. Very little violation of state laws occurs here. It's a tourist/traveler oriented club due to its close proximity to the airport. The club doesn't appeal to locals. You'll notice none of the local TUSCL members who value mileage over décor, or quality of dancers, go here. My best example is to point out that there are cameras over the lap dances areas, and they are closely monitored. If a male hand should touch a female boob, a manager will be right over to say to the customer, "Sir, please don't touch the dancers." 'Nuf said.

Pleasant enough morning
Great review, especially the nod to Drewcareypnw! The "fuzz" were very likely health department personnel. If they were cops or anyone else concerned with what the dancers were doing, they'd come in when the club is at its busiest, Friday and Saturday nights. That could just be for a business license inspection, without necessarily scanning the lap dance booths or rooms.

Kitten's at noon today
I enjoyed the review too! One thing I do at Kittens to combat the darkness once I'm seated, is to sit on the bench seating nearest the stages. There you can at least get some spill-over lighting from the stage and actually see the dancers walking by. I prefer the bench seating along the east wall. (That's closest to the restrooms and the entrance.)

It was fine
Two thoughts: 1. That club, along with its former counterpart in Tacoma, has a stage design with steps leading down from all three sides to the floor. Smart dancers make use of that and easily "mingle" with the front row of customers. (Seating that close to the stage is actually illegal in Washington state. A six-food distance is required.) But, there's good opportunity for on-stage interaction between dancer and customer. 2. I've been in the Puget Sound Region since 2006, and all that time, all of the Deja Vu clubs have had signs next to the lap dance booths reading "$30. dances." I used to think that meant a maximum of $30. could be charged. But now, that's a minimum charge.

Bad Friday day-shift visit
My thoughts with the experience this reviewer had and other reviews like it: 1. Remember that strip club entertainment is expensive entertainment, compared to anything else you can do for fun: The typical $20+entry fee alone to a strip club could buy you more on the outside world. Combine that with just one $40 dance (even $20. in other cities), and that's a lot of money for just a few minutes of fun. Hence, us strip club-goers are fussy about how we'll spend our money. If you know you'll have to spend at least $60 to get in and have just one dance, you want it to meet a high level of expectation. So, if there are no dancers present that meet that bar, you're unlikely to partake. Just pay the entry fee, and the rest is disappointment and you leave. 2. Presently, with the current cost of living rising so fast, the above goes double. 3. However, I'm able to avoid this type of experience because when I go to a strip club, I already know who I want to see there. I've planned my trip that way. But, that's because I live in the city where the club is. I realize that those visiting from out-of-town may not have the same opportunity. I may write a discussion item on this.
