First time at Sugar's. I walk in around 10:30 AM. Wait at the lovely velvet rope until the manager notices. Takes my $20 and I sit down. Naturally I'm the only PL there. It's the smallest of the 4 clubs I've been to in the Seattle area. I notice two dancers on a couch, Adequate and Absent*, but neither of them budge. After a few minutes the bearded manager brings my $9 in change and a club soda. Adequate comes and says hi while Absent goes on stage. Adequate says something about not being allowed to talk to customers until they have their drinks. Weird. Since I'm sitting on the long bench facing the entrance I can't talk to Adequate on my left and watch Absent dance on my right at the same time. As I'm lamenting my choice of seat Absent is already done and goes into the dressing room. A minute later 3 people who appear to be Fuzz let themselves into the club like they own the place. So that kills any vibe that was happening. Adequate says they're actually from the health department but to me they sure look like police badges. I was ready for a dance but based on what I've heard about the LDA here (not very private) I'm not about to give them a free show. So I tell Adequate that I'm waiting till they leave. Nothing better for her to do anyway so we chat, which is fine, nothing too memorable, but they're taking forever. Meanwhile I ask about prices, she says 1/$40 or 3/$100 but she's also willing to do 1/$30. I ask about VIP and she says $30 to the club for 15 minutes and $200 to her where we have "lots more options."

By this time for some reason Absent has put clothes on and left the club, so remaining in the club are one PL, one dancer, one DJ, one manager, and three representatives from some level of government trying to act important. Adequate asks manager if we can just go in the VIP with the curtain open and treat it like the LDA while the Fuzz is there, and manager agrees, but it doesn't end up mattering because they're finally wrapping up anyway. (I don't think this is a reflection on Sugar's or anything, it's just a bummer. I'm told that they were checking all the dancers' licenses on file.)

So we go back to the LDA. It's up some stairs and is kind of open to the manager area but I don't think it matters too much if you have the pick of any seat you want. We do one topless dance and it's not too bad. I decide I do want VIP. Full disclosure I've never done VIP anywhere before so I'm really bungling the conversation but I'm trying to figure out what's on the menu. She doesn't discuss too many specifics but says her clients leave happy.
