I've been to TJ several times and had a great time. I posted reviews. But now that I see "scrub brush's" comment, I now realize that I must have been dreaming. Thanks for the dose of reality.
As to the OP, I was in San Diego and took the trolley to the border. Very low hassle. Wish I could help with the details on flying into TJ. Sorry.

The harassment is NOT OK. I like to encourage women to go to strip clubs. But a strip club is clearly in the adult services business sector. If you're offended with people having consensual sex, then you should avoid strip clubs in favor of trips to family amusement parks and cathedrals.

Cash up front is a red flag. Good call on your part. FC has mandatory valet so the potential for a customer to bolt from a VIP session without paying the dancer, seems pretty remote.
Thanks to BubbleYum for the reassurance that some of the dancers are not stricken with GPS and greedy managers.

I agree! A smart stripper (hoping this in not an oxymoron!) should think like a sales person and be interested in the customer perspective. What does the customer like/want? What do they think is a reasonable price point?
The primary issue that TUSCL does not cover is working conditions: what is the tip out? are dance cards required? what are the working conditions.

I think of this like cigarette smoking. If you elect to smoke, that is fine as long as you're prepared to handle the health and economic consequences of smoking. But smokers have no right to damage the health of non-consenting non smokers. Thus, I favor laws that prohibit smoking in public venues.
If people elect to NOT get vaccinated, that too is OK as long as they bear all the impact of that decision and they do NOT pass along COVID infections to others. Thus, I would favor requiring masks for those who have not been vaccinated or better yet, excluding them from venues where their behavior (not getting vaccinated) puts other at risk.
There are always limitations to a person's rights; Your rights end where another person's rights begin.

I stand corrected. Penthouse had (the club is not closed) the motorcycle and FC has the vette. They don't lower the vette very often but if they can get two girls to put on a show, it is fun.

Ive been an infrequent customer at this club for a number of years but I don't know very much about their hiring practices. I can confirm your observation that the club does have a number of black dancers, probably 25% or less. I can also confirm that the talent seems to focus on slender women with some preference for zero or more discreet tattoos. But there are certainly exceptions as you'll see in my recent review of FC where I note that "thicker" women are also dancing at FC.
I don't know if their hiring practices are "racist" but I do know that they seldom play any rap music and the club has a very different vibe than some of the "urban" clubs where the focus is on making it rain and less on selling private dances. Personally, I feel comfortable in a mixed race club (both patrons and dancers) and I enjoy black dancers, especially if they are on the slender/athletic end of the spectrum. Its a preference for body type and performance, not skin color. But, I do not like the "urban" clubs with customers (regardless of their ethnic background) who "make it rain." In my experience, if the dancers can make bank by twerking for some customer who is willing to throw a hundred ones on stage, then they will not be very motivated to provide high quality private dances. Thus, I enjoy Flight Club, partly because of the focus on private dances.
As to the hiring strategy, you might get better advice from the other dancers on this web site.

Any details??? I've never had a problem at Hong Kong, but I don't get drunk and rowdy. My priority is the sexy Latina dancers.
Also, I don't trust the Tijuana police.
I had one incident where I was walking along Revolution Blvd. (a tourist street) and a local started walking with me and offering to be my "guide." I told him no, several times but he continued to walk with me. Within two minutes a police van pulled up and told me that I was associating with a known drug dealer. They insisted on searching me.... I was carrying nothing illegal but I was carrying my passport, a condom and a couple hundred US dollars. I was contemplating offering a bribe (seems like that is standard practice in Tijuana), when the police supervisor showed up and sent me on my way.

I have been to this club on multiple occasions when smoking was not a problem. Sorry to hear that the club allowed cigars. I tend to avoid clubs that tolerate cigar and cigarette smoking.

The only advantage to a booth is that the dancer can cuddle up next to you. If she's handsy, that can be an enjoyable experience.
