The whole scene in Detroit seems to have gone since the penthouse club was shut down because of tighter regulations. Volume seems overall down everywhere, prices up, decline in dancer quality maybe because it’s less profitable now.

Flight club insists that you park there in my experience, have tried both of the above. I’m guessing so you can’t leave if there is an issue .

Considering the size of the city Chicago has to be among the worst for clubs. Not sure if it’s because of local regulations or regional social attitudes but seems like a nice club in the city would be very profitable

Canada is a good idea but where Don’t know who is still working at Bogarts but remember Samantha and Jennifer who may still work Mondays . Both are nice and remember customers from awhile ago.

In the old days there were always 1-2 girls who were standouts but not anymore in my experience either here or it’s sister club Henry VIII. Since the clubs in the city have become more restrictive especially the many on 8 mile , there seems to be fewer attractive dancers working in the Detroit area in general , and prices have gone up. Just my overall impression. Maybe Florida is the best area now for clubbing except for the hurricanes or perhaps Texas - just speculating.

Mons Venus in Tampa fits the bill as of a couple of yrs ago but haven’t been there for awhile ,heard it’s changed though .

I would be interested in other options for hotels in the area other than Cascades. Also Caesars on Revolucion is an excellent restaurant for a sit down dinner, also easy to meet other Americans if you sit at the bar.

I don’t know how Zona Norte came into being but if Mexico’s economy would improve to be able to provide decent alternative jobs, and if the violence sustains and scares customers away , the clubs would suffer financially. The cartels are unlikely to care about tourist revenue though the city probably does. And historically “red light” districts tend to come and go.

I wonder how much volume will suffer and for how long given the price increases and most significantly uptick in violence.

Is there an update on the old Penthouse club ? I drove by 2 weeks ago during the day - it was closed and had no signs or hrs of operation posted !

Thanks for the info. I got pulled over by a policeman for no reason when I was walking on Revolucion and he asked to see my drivers license . Thankfully he let me continue with no loss of funds but it was a frightening experience given all the bad stories.

Penthouse was a fun club to go but since it was shut down originally the prices in the area have gone up , flight club was its sister club and is good but doesn’t attract the volume as in the old days and seems too expensive

Its pretty amazing and somewhat sad how long some of these dancers have been working there, past the point where they are likely to be able to attract customers . Most pre Covid dancers seem to have moved on in my limited experience.

Not expecting much . The whole Detroit scene crashed when the penthouse closed , drove up prices everywhere. It also had the nicest girls , not sure if they quite the profession or moved to another spot . Haven’t seen any of them at flight club which I would expect.

There is a web site with times of transit across the border bwt.cbp.gov. According tothatpedwest looks closed to all but the other pedestrian crossing point is open ( the “ ready” lane) only

I’ve noticed there r a lot of single moms in the biz, for them seems like a way to make a living but I’m sure there r diverse motivations but it’s a time limited occupation, certainly not a career it would seem.
