Seattle strip club becomes first in WA to serve alcohol in decades.
Seattle generally has had great mileage in the right clubs, (even sometimes in the Deja Vu clubs, though not reliably). Portland has good beer and liquor in its clubs. Great mileage on rare occasions, OK mileage mostly. So if you can get off while sober, Seattle has been the better choice. If you like to drink with blue balls, Portland's for you. One of the Deja Vu clubs serving alcohol won't change that.

Love the vibe at DV8, but not much mileage
your experience was unusual with respect to the rules of the private dances. Generally much better. My usual strategy here is to see how much contact she gives you at the rack. If she doesn't spend some time throwing her boobs against the side of your face, skip her.

    Rejecting Reviews
My criterion is whether there is useful information. I can tolerate short if the info is valuable. I would approve the following. "Went in at 3pm. One ugly girl on her phone. Another ugly girl on the stage ignoring the customers. That's all the girls there were. I left."

    Relaxed, good ole DV8
Last month I got 3/100 at DV8. As the dancer and I walked back, I said, "You do 3 for 100?" She paused and said yes. I bet if I had asked her price she would have said 3/120. But she had a sale at a decent price so didn't push it.

I like Cocoa. In between clubs, walk the beach, which is a long way from Tampa.

spend too much on dancers 🤯
Steak and strippers, what else could you ask for?!
The review seems a little fishy. Private dances are not so common in this club. And being told not to over tip?

Which state "does not prohibit" two way full contact to stripper?
Book guy has it down. In Oregon, two-way contact seems legal; why does OP think it's not? Read some reviews and in most places there's touching of boobs, grinding; and in many, some stick shifting. In a few, fingering of the V and ITP. Full service on occasion. Enforcement can be local police or the liquor licensing agency. In Portland, OR, the liquor commission is pushing for cameras in lap dance areas. But the city police ask callers to file reports online for anything less than murder or disrepecting an unhoused person.

Regulars club | Dive bar vibes | Variety
You could wait a long time for a girl to come around and ask if you want a dance. But sit at the rack and they will ask more often. And you can easily ask them. It's strange how the norms are different; plenty of places have girls coming by asking for dances, but plenty don't do this. A dancer who wanted to make money could make a ton by asking for the sale.

    Slow start, nice finish
I think Minnow's clues about this review being AI generated are 1) decent grammar, and 2) consistency with other reviews of the club.

    Afternoon visit
"A dancer told me most dancers don’t like the stage because they sometimes only get $10 a set." I wonder how much they get staring at their phone.

Just here to contribute to the team
    Overpriced, but some OTC possibilities?
I'm guessing some business travelers stay at downtown hotels; willing to pay rather than Uber or rent a car. Plus some guys will go downtown to bars then end up at a strip club. But no one with half a brain would go downtown just to visit strip clubs.

What Knockers and Other Body Parts!
Chick-fil-A would have made a good name for a strip club! Nice review Mr. J. My experience has been that the gauze curtains are private enough. I've sat in front of them and not seen anything more than blurred shapes. Would not have been able to tell if extras being given. (I don't think they are at this club, but I wouldn't be able to tell from outside.)

good spots for LD's with contact in Chicago
Maybe consider Uber to Midway, the one-hour flight to Detroit, then a short Uber to Inkster.

    Tipping Etiquette
I've run out of ones at the rack. Haven't asked the dancer for change, but heck, she's got a load of ones and an incentive to facilitate tipping.

At the end of the rainbow is this strip club. They said a pot, I was lied to.
another "no dancers on the stage," with plenty of dancers and customers in the place. Even if I'm looking for a private dance, I want to see some stage dancing.

Very reliable for what it is
Skinny, I don't recall bike racks there, but use Google maps street view to see if there's a fence or tree that would work. Bouncer was nice when I went; would probably be helpful. As for bus service, check Tri-Met. McLoughlin is a major road, and the Orange Line light rail is across the street from Acropolis, but you'd have to walk a few hundred yards to get to a bridge across McLaughlin.

Mr. J, thanks for the details. I also liked the old Tommy's, though sometimes the girls there would be just too fugly to f$%^ with.

How not to smell like a french whore when you get home
Old joke: the admiral and the master chief petty officer were the oldest guys on the base, and they happened to be sitting next to each other at the barber shop. One barber asked the admiral if he'd like a new scented hair tonic. Admiral says, "No, I don't want my wife thinking I smell like a French whore house." Then the chief tells his barber, I'll try some of that hair tonic. MY wife doesn't know what a French whore house smells like."

    Oversaturation
Portland: the Oregon constitution protects expression, which our Supreme Court says includes dancing. Nude dancing has been allowed for many years, even with alcohol served. Portland police have never (in my 30+ years here) made a priority of looking for acts of prostitution. The liquor control commission does look for evidence of prostitution, because they think it's their job to bother every booze-serving establishment. So they have pressured a number of clubs into installing cameras. Portlanders who do not visit strip clubs still brag about having the most strip clubs per capita. It's a sign of a liberal city. The post-pandemic problems (crime, homelessness, etc.) have not changed things; we were this way back in the 2010s. Lesson: it's all politics.

Locales we never ever talk about
I've reviewed 2 or 3 Boise clubs. No reason to go to any of them unless you're already close by and bored. When I was in Anchorage I looked at the reviews for the clubs there and decided not to bother. So I conclude that low number of reviews means low quality experience.

    Thursday evening visit
My experience has been about 1 in 3 or 4 dancers will ask if you want a dance, but all will be happy if you raise the subject. I don't want to go for private dance with a girl who's not enthusiastic about it, but some don't want to appear pushy. So my filter at this club is mileage at the rack.
