Been sampling, but it's been more of a chore than fun. The clubs local to me are really inconsistent right now. Probably going to let things settle and see which dancers stick at which clubs.

So is this a good thing or a bad thing? Having the people closest to the situation deciding for themselves sounds like a decent idea. Somebody mentioned Texas, and it's been left up to local ordinance for a while now.

It's not always about how good the clubs are. Some places (like Detroit for instance) can have some of the best clubs around but no reason for a lot people to ever go there. I'd say Memphis is in that same boat. Atlanta is a travel hub, so that Follies easier to get to for those who were just passing through. Part of the appeal for that club.

Not sure when the big crackdown in Memphis was. I went through on a dayshift in 2016 or 2017. Only one club seemed like anything interesting. Can't remember the name and don't feel like looking it up, but it had a huge porch on the front and potholes in the parking lot. Follies I'd go out my way to see. Memphis I wondered what the fuss was about, but didn't see the clubs at night.

A lot of clubs local to me have girls getting skipped on stage (paid by her or custy to the club) or bought off stage for the night. Some of the most popular dancers don't see the stage after their first set, if they even get there at all.

It's not about real name vs stage name. It's about whether some rando (or a manager) can put something on a person because somebody got overexcited on the Internet. When dancers get busted the police can (and often do) put all their info out there. Just happened the other day to dancers and waitresses at a club local to me. "Isis" ain't blowing nobody if she on lock.
