Indians in Albany

Come to think about it, they are an under represented minority in the clubs. Of all the clubs I've been to, I can't remember seeing a south asian in a strip club, although I saw a south asian prostitute in Los Angeles once, but it was also obvious she was a junkie.

Keep in mind that Indian society is a society where public displays of affection are illegal. There are no nude beaches in India (public nudity is banned) and the nude ban even carries over into their very prosperous movie industry (Bollywood). Indians living outside of India live in an old world society, where there is a lot of familial pressure to succeed in high end occupations. The family in the movie "Bend it like Beckham" is actually very typical.

I've been going to the same laundromat for twelve years (although I can afford better). The family that owns it has three daughters, who have all gone to work for Price Waterhouse as accountants. The boy, on the other hand, is a slacker. He's highly intelligent, but he's also committed to not working in a high end occupation.

In all the times I've gone to strip clubs, I have seen exactly one Indian dancer. You have to wonder how she ended up a stripper, because there just aren't Indian slackers.

Wow, I think I've only seen one Indian dancer in my entire life (and it seemed that she was really of mixed heritage) at Club Fantasies in RI. The Albany strip club scene is pretty tame from what I've heard through the years...good luck with your quest...

I have wondered that myself. I have never seen a native African either-like from Nigeria. Some Indians are smoking hot-like the babe on Top Chef. Maybe it has to do with certain races only doing certain jobs. Koreans cook and do janitorial but you don't see any Koreans working construction. Africans and Indians drive cabs.

A lot of the black dancers up in Canada (at least in Quebec) are originally from Africa...or they are first-generation Canadians with their parents coming directly from Africa. All the ones that I've met up there have been very friendly and fluent in English as well.

The Indian middle class, the source of most immigrants, is conservative socially, politically and sexually.

I'm in utica and haven't ever seen an Indian dancer in the upstate area, i've been at this for 20+ years so I don't hold much hope for you. On the other hand, Amtrak will have you in NYC in just over 2 hours so if you are comitted to the idea you might want to book a ticket, not sure where to send you for dances but I know there are several Indian girls in the city who advertise as escorts.

I also am a fan of Indian women, but have never seen one dancing. The closest I came was a hot Iranian dancer, 19 years old, at Oasis in Atlanta.

I went to a college with a lot of Indians (heavy enrollment in business and engineering), and I agree that they are very conservative. They are also somewhat insular socially. Even though I had a very active social life in college, I only got two Indian girls to go out with me--they tend to stick together.
