Greatest movie "stripper" scene ever

My vote is Charlotte Rampling in the movie "Night Porter". She plays a Jewish prisoner dancing for Nazi's in a rec hall, while wearing an SS cap, gloves, and suspenders. Holy crap! Really creepy and erotic at the same time. Look at the freakish face masks on some of the musicians. Love charlotte's toned body and that face of hers. Even her singing is soulful.     Elizabeth Berkely in the back room of the strip club in Showgirls. Stripper scenes are usually so poorly done.

    This isn't really a scene featuring strippers but a conversation about strippers. In a movie called "Drop Dead Sexy" one character ,played by Jason Lee from Clerks and My Name is Earl, asks the other if he would marry a stripper who would put her butt in his face. The other guy says, " I wouldn't marry one who wouldn't."

    Nastassia Kinski in the movie "Paris Texas". She's working in a peep-show booth. Harry Dean Stanton is her estranged husband, who hasn't seen her in 5 years and doesn't know what became of her. He tracks her down in another state and follows her to work, not knowing she turned to stripping to support herself. He winds up in her booth behind the one-way mirror, so he can see her but she can't see him. No nudity, but psychologically interesting and pretty heavy. [view link]

    It stuns me how poorly they tend to be done. Natalie Portman in that stupid movie "The Closer" and Demi Moore in "Striptease" both have no fucking clue how to do stripper things. Both movies have "high energy stage acts" that involve the woman doing things they do in Broadway stage shows. Neither has any sultry sexy ... thang.

    There's a new movie coming out called "Zombie Strippers", starring Jenna Jameson. The strippers eat their customers after dancing! That might be the best one yet. But I haven't seen it.

    Zerzan: There is a very similar and much more explicit scene in the 1970's movie "Hardcore." In this film a very religious George C. Scott tracks his teenage daughter's journey into the world of porn. On his trip to California, Scott goes inside peep show booth to confront the girl inside, looking for info. on his daughter. The girl in the booth is a gorgeous blonde who appears nude and spread eagled only to find out that he is not there to look at her. My favorite stripper movie scene, mentioned in a similar discussion several month's ago, is the scene in "The Last Picture Show" where a young Cybil Shepard strips nude on a diving board as part of her initiation into a small social club.

    Snowtime, yeah, I forgot about Hardcore. I vaguely remember that one. Thanks. I'll also put "Last Picture Show" on my Netflix list. Thanks again. There's this Brazilian movie about two friends who fall in love with the same stripper. Supposed to have some really hot scenes in it. Haven't rented it yet, but it's on my list. Called "Lower City". "Produced by Walter Salles, director of 2004's Oscar-nominated The Motorcycle Diaries, this visceral drama set in Brazil follows two childhood friends entangled in a steamy love triangle with an exotic dancer. Temptation, lust and jealousy make this volatile situation explosive as the two friends, Deco and Naldinho (Lazaro Ramos and Wagner Moura), vie for the affection of the tantalizing Karinna, played by City of God's Alice Braga."

    I forgot about Lower City-thanks Zerzan. Yeah, she strips in a real dive-kind of place you'd find in a Brazilian slum, but I love her six nude scenes in this movie-especially the closeup when she's getting oral.

    Zerzan, although I don't watch a lot of movies I will put "Paris,Tx" on my list. I do remember it was critically acclaimed. You don't get to see many depictions of the live peep show scene. Back in the 70's and 80's a lot of these places appeared in the South and as I traveling businessman I always looked forward to the cities that had them.

    Snowtime, Paris Texas is probably my favorite movie of all time. It's very slow but beautifully shot and well acted. It kind of strikes a chord with me because I had some family issues along the way. It's not for everybody though.

    I liked "Animal House" scene where Bluto grabbed a ladder to peek in on Mandy Pepperidge stripping in sorority house only to fall backwards.

    Back in the early 80s, there was a "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" rip-off named "The Wild Life" (it even starred Sean Penn's younger brother, Chris). From what I remember, it was a pretty lame flick. But there's a scene at a strip club where Kitten Natividad exposes her mammoth bazongas. For a young teenage boy, that was almost enough to induce a heart attack.

    That "Lower City" movie is pretty good when it comes to depicting whorehouse behavior, but it's a tad on the slow side plotwise...I saw most of it. I agree that most stripper depictions in movies are pretty lame compared to the real thing. There was supposively an indy film that was filmed in a former SC hangout of mine in upstate NY, but I don't know the name of the movie. There have been a few documentaries about peep shows & strippers that I've seen that were pretty good though. One was about how a group of peep show girls in the San Francisco area banned together to form a union (there's apparently been a movement out in CA to unionize sex workers in general), and another documentary about strippers, the way they feel about doing what they do & their homelife. I'll see if I can dig up the names of the films. I also thought that "Dancing at the Blue Iguana" was a pretty good film, but they still got the stage dancing thing all wrong IMO...it's good even if you wanna see some well-known actresses pop their tops though...lol... "Exotica" is a pretty odd Canadian film too about a strip club. Looks like I have a lot more movies to add to my "must see" list...thanx... :)

    Slothtop: did Salma Hayek actually get naked in that scene? Or was it a Hollywood-ized version of stripping, in which the removal-of-clothing part (the STRIPPING) didn't happen. I've only ever seen it on network television so I wouldn't actually know ...

    it ain't the greatest, not by far, but Halle Berry or her body double had a nice little strip club scene in an early Bruce Willis movie, The Last Boy Scout... Lela Rochon did a nice stripper scene or two in Gang Related, out about 1990 or so. But hottest of all time had to be E. Berkley in Showgirls, as noted above. One classic that is often forgotten is a young Sophia Loren stripping for Marcelo Mastriani (SP?) in an early 60s movie, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. They reprised their roles 30 years later in a Robert Altman movie about the fashion industry. She was still pretty damn good looking.

    She didn't play a stripper, but in the movie "Private Lessons", Sylvia Kristel does one of the hottest strips ever on film. Club Exotica-Mia Kirshner was sixteen when she did that movie (she does one brief, but hot table dance). About why strip club scenes are usually poorly done-many of Hollywood's directors are gay and/or feminists. They would consider it a betrayal to their friends to go into a strip joint to do real research. Demi Moore did research at Scores, but it seems she blatantly ignored reality, or thought it not important.

    I think that "Dancing at the blue iguana" portrayed the strip club/stripper scene more closely than any other film that I have seen.

    BookGuy, Salma did not get naked. She just danced and played with the snake. To me, she is the ONLY reason to watch that movie. After here scene, it all goes beyond stupid.

    Clubber didn't get the movie, it's inside jokes or why it was shot the way it was. I suspect Scooby Doo was lost on him too. I'd have to agree that From Dusk Til Dawn had the best stripper scene. Salma didn't get naked (she dosen't have to to be hot!) but some of the other dancers in the scene were topless.

    Clubber: "beyond stupid" is part of its charm, isn't it? I mean, c'mon ... vampire strippers? You didn't expect intelligence did you? :) Personally, I find Salma's monstrous obviously fake tits to be rather a disappointment. Too spheroid and android looking. But, what was the name of the young girl in it? She has a funny nose, and a bit of a non-standard look, in both body and face, but turned into a real sex-pot for a little while. Can't recall ...

    BG...you mean Juliette Lewis? That one SF documentary that I mentioned before was called "Live Nude Girls Unite!" BTW. I dunno when they actually filmed the movie "Exotica" in Canada, but it came out in early 1994, when Mia was 19...so whatever...she's still hot in the movie, but it's a weird flick for sure...

    I guess I haven't seen enough movies - I'm not familiar with many of these movies except for "Showgirls" and "Striptease" and they were both pretty bad. I am surprised no one has mentioned Jennifer Beals in "Flashdance". Although she doesn't get naked, I love the early scene where she gets water dumped on her on stage.

    Dusk to Dawn is not generally the type of movie that I want to watch. But I did enjoy this one and have seen it several times since. I loved Cheech Marin's pussy spiel and I have used it many when burning CD"S. BG: The little spinner was Juliette Lewis.

    Oh nothing "wrong" with that. But you have to admit her body is built kinda off-kilter. Lots of hip. And her face is very male with that strong bone structure and those obviously fake lips. I find her extremely sexy but cannot put my finger on exactly why.
