Paying someone isn't dating.

Notable statement from the article:

“One of the study’s most intriguing revelations concerns the power dynamics within sugar dating. Contrary to expectations, it was found that sugar babies frequently hold significant negotiating power, derived from their desirability and ability to set the terms of the arrangement. This challenges the stereotypical view of benefactors holding all the control due to their financial leverage. If anything, the power dynamics seem to work in reverse in most cases, with the sugar baby yielding more perceived power than the sugar daddy.”

Also noted - 1/3 of sugar babies have done at least 1 of these: stripper, escort, sold content online (OnlyFans as an example).

Yeah, who would have thought (other than smooth brain feminist groupthinkers) that pussy has more power than money?

^The negotiating power is generally strongest where the need is greatest.
My guess is that pussy only holds an edge when there’s less available, and an abundance of money will overcome any advantage that pussy might gain by scarcity.

Sex is and has never been “free” in our country/society.

There has always been a “price” to pay; economically, legally, physically, emotionally etc etc etc.

“The big difference between sex for money and sex for free is that sex for money usually costs a lot less.”

IMO and IME this article is spot on in every way. It's a rare departure from the bad intel and agenda-driven suppositions all too common in article covering adult entertainment matters.

Just a side note on the topic most relevant to most on here, which is dancers who decide to sugar. I've definitely dealt with SBs who used to dance, but I rarely come across active dancers. The few girls I know in a couple of different clubs who tried sugaring all told me the same thing, which is that the economics just didn't make sense for them. Only after they quit dancing for a while and become re-accustomed to less lucrative work does sugaring seem to become attractive proposition for them.

@jack, this is a fascinating read, thanks for posting. I've never done the sugar thing, but I do think sometimes maybe that's a frontier I'll cross as I get older.

I've had a lot of fun sugaring, real good times in the past. For the most part girls want to get you in and out (quite literally) as fast as they can to get whatever $$$ your handing out. At least IME.

It's known I don't do the sugar thing because if I wanted the trappings of a girlfriend I'd just get a girlfriend and the girls I see on the regular provide more than the drama I'd want on any given day.

But I saw the topic and it reminded me of a post I wrote for someplace else but I'll throw it up here instead...

Power dynamic is an actual thing. Stripping (and sugaring for whoever's into that) is one of the few angles where a hoodrat can have the upper hand over a dude with means. It you met a girl in her client space it takes a lot to get past that in her mind. And it doesn't really matter how much time goes by, she'll always have a memory that the first time you were inside her body she was selling it.

^sounds like a win-win. Who would want to travel outside a strippers’ client space? That’s what makes the relationship so appealing in the first place.

Anyone who is surprised by this probably is watching the Hallmark Channel way too often. People, and thus relationships, will always be quirky. Which works for everybody, since judgers and haters don't want to actually win, and lose their purpose in life.
