I just got back from Vegas, my first trip since COVID. Here are some observations I made and some things that stuck out to me.
-
All my dinners were at off-strip places so can't comment on restaurants inside the casinos.
-
Didn't hit up any strip clubs - can't comment on that.
-
Tons of people were on the strip rolling blunts and smoking weed. These seemed to be mostly tourists.
-
Never saw a police officer the entire time I was there, some security inside casinos.
-
Lots of homeless people wandering on the casino floors even at higher end casinos, I had never seen that before.
-
Usually I see some "fancy" people roaming around, saw very little of that this time around, rough looking people in several of the casinos, I was looking over my shoulder at night a lot.
-
Clubs were dead on Saturday night but this is one of the slowest times of the year for Vegas.
-
Expensive. Obviously trying to make up for 2 years of lost revenue.
-
Do Vegas Uber drivers take baths? Almost all of them stunk. Some made the ride miserable.
Had a good time, planning to go back after first of the year but different vibe from years past.

I actually agree with your points.
Cops are everywhere though. I see a lot more cop cars now than before. But you don't really notice it unless you spend an extended amount of time.
The tourists are trash. Lots if redneck types.
People dress up for regular clubs on the strip though. Lots at least wear fake or real designer shit.
Restaurants aren't what they used to be. O think even off strip ones are overpriced. And quality isn't consistent.
