Is it needed? Is it really necessary? I saw a thread how you should never use your credit card, use the ATM at the club, and make sure to use a burner phone. What's the thought behind this? Also, any suggestions?
"Never" is a good way to miss out on opportunities. I rarely use a club ATM. The last time I did was years ago because I'd already had a crazy good time at Follies, and then I saw "Valentine". I think their ATM fees were something crazy like a percentage of the withdrawal amount, and I gave that not a second thought before heading to the VIP...
Q: Burner phones and refillable credit cards. Is it needed? Is it really necessary? What's the thought behind this? Also, any suggestions?
A: YES, it is necessary to be safe discreet and remain anonymous.
People participating in the Adult Industry Business aka “the hobby” sometimes have to/need to exchange digits, in person or on line to communicate and conduct “business”, OTC, Seeking Arrangements, escort etc etc etc.
In most cases anonymity is necessary, for obvious reasons, can you trust a new potential partner to be discreet, anonymous?
A burner phone number will let you keep your personal private life private.
Using a burner phone and prepaid credit cards can “save your life” if someone you are seeing, “dating” OTC, Sugar Baby, escort etc etc doesn’t respect your desire to remain anonymous.
Those are mostly "rules of thumb" vs absolutes - in clubs with a good customer rep using a credit-card is usually not a problem - problem with credit-cards is sometimes clubs add a surcharge (e.g. if one is payig a VIP room w/ it; etc); but a bigger issue is that overall the strip-club industry is a seedy industry and although not the norm, many custies over the years having gotten burned using using a credit-card in the club w/ seedy clubs/staff adding bogus charges sometimes into the thousands; so best to avoid using credit-cards as a precaution unless one already has a good relationship w/ a particular club.
w.r.t. ATMs, the issue is the high fees - many clubs will also limit the amount per transaction to force a PL to do multiple transactions and thus charge him multiple times; using ATMs in strip-clubs one is almost always getting gypped but I've done on occasion when having a really good time at a club and I wanted to keep the party going vs going home; but most TUSCLers try to avoid ATMs.
w.r.t. a burner phone - this is not that necessary - I guess if one has an S.O. then a burner-app would be useful - basically it's a way to avoid giving out one's personal # and the burn-apps usually have pretty-good blocking-features and it's easy to just get a new # if a dancer becomes a PITA or god-forbid one gets embroiled w/ a crazy-bitch - if one SCs a good amount and wants to contact dancers then it's probably a good idea to have a burner phone # but it's not necessarily a must-have.
A burner phone is incriminating in and of itself if you are trying to keep things a secret. Get a burner app if you must text, and then convert the dancer to instagram chat loaded on your smartphone web browser in incognito mode. Better yet, start with “what’s your instsgram”. It’s fine for chatting, the girls post their dates and times there, and the good clubs post who is dancing today. Closing the browser deletes the history and login info. Fairly clean, and the dancers bf can’t look you up later. Delete the burner number asap.
I always bring cash to a club, and almost never ever use the atm, though there have been exceptions, though it’s more about setting spending limits than anything else.
Honestly I've never much worried about handing out my cell. It's my business cell phone so nobody else accesses it but me. Visiting strippers and even meeting up with them is not illegal. I always Google new "friends" numbers to ensure that they are not using those digits to advertise online but that's as much as I worry about exchanging messages with a stripper. I know that guys who dial up escorts tend to worry about this stuff more and they probably should, but I'm not using my phone for that.
As far as credit cards, that lesson was learned the hard way many years ago, when I clubbed regularly in Queens. One night I noticed a number of drinks on my tab that I never ordered and I'm guessing it wasn't the first time it happened - just the first time that it was a big enough number that I actually bothered to ask for an itemized receipt. Lesson learned. I haven't put plastic down in a club for over 15 years and never will again.
As far as club ATMs, I have used them maybe twice in the last 15+ years. I always go to the club with ample cash in my pocket, but on a couple of occasions I spent more heavily than normal ITC and was running a little short on the agreed upon cash for immediate OTC opportunities. The last thing I want to do when I have a "friend" in my car and ready to roll is to make a detour to hit a bank ATM, so in each instance I topped off at the club instead and it was well worth the extra fees. But those are exceedingly rare cases.
Speaking of privacy, somebody told me recently that the most private way to have non-face-to-face communication (including private from the gubment) is with iPhone FaceTime. Is that true?
Solution to not using the ATM or credit card at the club: Bring cash
Solution to not giving out real phone number: Get a free google voice line
I'm trying to figure out if this is a trick question or something 🤣 I have no idea how you could complexify all that into reloadable credit cards and second phones

You also need to take Uber everywhere when you are with someone you are seeing. It's all to easy for her to copy your license plate number and then you are no longer anonymous.

If you require a lot, then those things are a good idea. If you don't need a lot (or just don't care), then you don't need any of them.
