I only know this because of young people (aka strippers) who talk about the Land Before Time having a bunch of sequels...

There are 27 James Bond(007) movies. Not my thing but there must be a lot of people that do like them.

All the ones I've listed were off the top of my head but the link below has a list:

Papi -that list is 5 years old. James Bond has 27 now. Not 24.

Rocky is the main one I can think of that milked the cow too long. Some sequels are pretty good if they develop the story in an interesting way and some seem like garbage attempts to just grab more money from past fans. I do wish another Sherlock Holmes movie would come out, provided they do it well.

Some of these I’m glad they did sequels. Die Hard had some good sequels in the 90’s. Rocky sequels were better than the first IMO but 5 after? When they brought Mickey back from the dead? I thought they would do that with goose in the new top gun. Speaking of which that was so god damn successful, they might start a run of Top Guns now.

Taboo. Going back to the VHS days of porn movies with plots. The first one was novel and successful, so they made like a dozen more.

Back when I had Cinemax cable-channel there was a soft-porn movie sequel called Emmanuelle which I think was foreign but was dubbed in English - this was a good # of years ago - anyone else know that sequel?

The Bushes and the Clintons. When Part 1 already bad, Part 2 is even worse.

I agree with much of what has been mentioned above.

Hollywood appears to take a movie franchise and beats it to death.

But, the porn genre has taken it to a different level!

When one is too many. The sequel to Billy Jack should never have been made.

    1. A classic
    2. One of the worst ever made
