Are the restroom attendants working in a club at 10a on any given day? I usually get Cialis from the restroom attendant when I see a bg I want to go upstairs with. However, without the Cialis the deed can be a letdown for me. Also, does anyone know if I can get Cialis from a pharmacy in TJ and bring it back across the border? Is that illegal? Is the ‘Cialis’ from a local pharmacy more/less intense than the Cialis we get in the US? I ask because I have never gone to a club in TJ when the sun is out.
Just ask any waiter for any pill you like. Yes it's more intense, maybe it's my imagination, but popping a pill in the brothel with countless girls there, is different from popping at home, which I also bring home some.
It is against the rules to bring drugs bought without a prescription from outside the country back in. Small quantities of non schedule drugs would likely be overlooked if you don’t mention it.
Like shadow says, buying them with a script in the USA makes much more sense and can often be cheaper. Plus interactions with other drugs, dosage, package warnings etc all become much better managed.
Farmacia Ahorra is three blocks away, just Google it for the exact location. Prices are a small fraction of what you'd pay in the club and it's sold over the counter in Mexico. Bringing back a small quantity over the border is usually not a problem and if you're feeling paranoid about it you can bring an empty aspirin bottle and just take them back in it.
If you want it for a one-time experience, buying from a mesero or toilet troll is expensive but convenient. Buying from a pharmacy is much cheaper and there are several close to the Zona, such as the one Mongo1964 mentioned. Some of them have a doctor next door or nearby who will write you a prescription for the asking and some pesos. Indeed, you can get almost any prescription medication in Mexico for the asking. If you go to other border towns, such as Mexicali or Ciudad Juarez, the main streets are lined with pharmacies doing a brisk business with Americans crossing the border for cheap medications. The price Americans are willing to pay likely depends on if they have insurance and their out-of-pocket cost.
My understanding is that if you do not have a prescription, you can get into deep S&*! trying to cross into the USA with any amount. If you do have a prescription, you can bring up to 50 pills into the USA, but you must declare it. If you fail to declare it and they find it, again, deep S&*!. (Maybe not deep S&*!, but you will get some grief.)
Also, I have heard from others that if the Mexican police find it on you, even though it is legal to possess, they will tell you that it is illegal to try to extort money from you.
Finally, occasionally the medications are fake versions or valid versions manufactured in Mexico. And there are substitutes, such as Maxifort, a version of Viagra.
Any pharmacy around will have it. There is one a block away going toward the arch that will be on right hand side. They have name brand and generic. Generic was cheap. Like $3 a pill. I got my buddy a bunch as he asked me too. I tried one and worked well. He said he likes em and wants more as I’ll be there Monday
With a coupon from GoodRX I have been paying $10.41 at my Kroger pharmacy for 10 100mg of Sildenafil(Generic Viagra). Why should I pay more at a Mexican pharmacy or a questionable other source?
shadowcat, you make a fair point. I have a US prescription and Cadillac insurance, so I get my meds at a good price too. However, there are some mongers who do not have a prescription, don't need a prescription for a one-time experience, have been denied by their overly-conservative MD, or have other personal reasons for not bringing their medications to Mexico. It is just a matter of what works for the individual. It is good to have options, especially when I am on an extended stay and risk running out of my USA meds. (My insurance and MD limit me to eight pills a month, concerned that more would drive my blood pressure too low. Sometimes it is just not enough.)
I'm on Medicare part D and ED meds are not covered at all. Before the Pfizer Patent on Viagra expired I was buying by mail from India at $1 a pill with no RX.
The last time I was at the doctor I simply asked for a generic Viagra prescription. No questions asked. On my way home I got a text from the pharmacy that my prescription was ready, plus a link to a coupon. Paying about $1 a pill with a coupon. Without the coupon it was more like $13.
The next time you are at the doc for any reason, use the opportunity to get a prescription.
The funny thing is she set it up for thirty day refills. I wish I could use 20 half-pills in a month, LOL! I thought about getting the refill just to impress the cute pharmacist. I would have griped that I had to be careful not to run out in 30 days.
When they were expensive and hard to come by, I would get frustrated if I took one before I went to a club and then did not find a friend for VIP. Now at $1 a pill I don't give a shit.
The restroom attendant only charged me $5 a pill. My insurance doesn’t recognize ED so they charge full price. The clerk at the pharmacy used the GoodRx card, but that only lowered it a little. Better than full price, but still really expensive.
people really get denied when they ask for ED med prescriptions? I guess I don't talk to too many people about it, but my understanding was there was a pretty short list of things that gave doctors pause about prescribing those things.
mustardgas - You really do need to find a new pharmacy. Use the goodrx app or the goodrx web site to compare prices, you will be shocked at the range of prices. Using Costco pharmacy 30 x 100mg was under 70 cents a pill last refill, sildinfil (generic viagra).
Funny story - I met a guy who refuses to get vaxed because he “doesn’t trust it might have side effects and he’s heard it might make him sick” but he WILL buy a medication at a crazy high price from a Mexican bathroom attendant and eat it without a second thought. I 🤦♀️ SMH. The vaccine is really a vaccine to me, it is an IQ test.
I know someone whose baby daddy is anti-vaccine too. Yet he doesn’t give it a second thought whenever he purchases meth from an unfamiliar dealer. Human nature - we’ll pick and choose whatever ‘data’ we want in order to support any choice we make or don’t make.
