I'm going to visit HK and Chicago too, but that's a given. Anybody going to TJ this weekend through the anniversary on Wednesday. I'll be there.

last commentLa Gloria is the one I'm most curious to try on this list. La Malquerida was a shit show last time I peaked my head in. Like 4 dancers, all tortas, dirt and detritus everywhere.
Enjoy your trip Owl, I hope to read some good reviews!

Oh, and I would put Dulce & Gabbana on your list. It can be really hit or miss, but it's easy to get to, right across Av. Niños Héroes from Senda Norte. So it's worth a shot.
And BT. Lower talent on average than HK and Chicago (like most smaller clubs) but there are often diamonds in that rough to be found.

Have fun! Once in a great while these other places might have hidden treasure!

I second @RonJax2 on Dulce & Gabbana.
With regard to La Gloria and La Hacienda, both are always worth a stop-in for at least a talent and vibe check. La Gloria is nicer and bigger than La Hacienda, and typically has more attractive women. However, I prefer La Hacienda, solely because I love hole-in-the-wall dives. Also, the women (despite not always being the most attractive as compared with other places in the area)
have always been nothing but an amazing and genuinely fun time. The bar fine is minimal, but unfortunately, there are a few that want HK prices for their time to leave to your hotel.
Enjoy!

Thanks. Dulce and Galbana and Tropical are already on my list. I've been to Bar Tropical, I just want to give some other clubs a chance.
Don't forget next Wednesday is their 35? anniversary for Hong Kong.

Whoah, @TimmyTrumpets9, I just got an alert from your comment. You should get one for this too, I think @ username mentions are working!
Owl, if you go to BT, make sure you check out the new second and third floors! They're both open air with great people watching on Calle Coahuilla.

@RonJax2 Looks like they are my good man, because I got yours! I think we willed this into existence from our conversation yesterday!

Out of all these lesser known bars, do check out La Gloria, the bar has potential for some real FUN to be had and especially on a weekend visit 👍🏻

Which bar would you guys say has the hottest meseras?

👆🏻IMO it’s Chicago Club (lately,)besides you can also run into a gem or two hot meseras at La Gloria 👌🏻

Hong Kong wins without question for it's quality, quantity and selection of hot bar girls.
But if you're looking for a mesera specifically I might go to La Hacienda or La Gloria.

@PAFBABS, I don't consider Chicago club to be "lesser known" I'm pretty sure RonJax2 agrees.

Well.. if presed for my opinion... I kind of feel like there are 2 categories of bar in the Zona right now: one that includes HKGC and one that includes everything else.
Chicago is the biggest and best of the smaller clubs, but it is still not near the scale of the operation that is the dragon. On a slow weekday CC might have 10 chicas where HK has 80. On a weekend night CC might have 80 and HK 300.
If my history is correct, HK used to be much smaller, and there used to be a healthier competition between "the big 3": Chicago, Adelitas, and HK. Adelitas closed, and HK borged up the two neighboring buildings and now it's in a class of it's own.

Thanks RonJax2. HK has the benefit of being centralized in the zona. I look at HK in Google Maps along with all of other bars. You literally are 5 minute walks away from just about anything.
On other TJ forums like Reddit, HK vs Chicago is a common topic. I agree with you because typically Chicago is pushed on people who want a slightly more domestic (like a US strip club) atmosphere to their mongering. Chicago can be just as fun as HK, but HK is definitely the poster child for TJ for a reason.

The reality is ANY of these bars can be a blast. It only takes one! (Or sometimes two 🙆♀️🙎♂️🙆♀️)
Also, not that we're some oracle of truth here on TUSCL, but you gotta be careful with what you read on r/TJRedLightDistrict. I think the crowd there skews very young and inexperienced and a lot of folks just plumb don't know what they're talking about there. I subscribe (but never comment, because it's also a cesspool) but anyway weird and inaccurate shit gets upvoted there all the time there.
Like on HK vs. Chicago... the very first question one should ask on this question is: what day and time are you going? Saturday night? CC will punch well above it's weight. Monday at noon? There might not be any chicas at CC, and you're 100% much better of in HK.
And the vibes at CC depend on the time too. I've been on slow weekdays (and even had a blast) where it was a chiller vibe and they were playing rock music. I've also been on a weekend night where they were blasting Reggaetón and there was little difference between the vibes the same night in the Miami room of HK.
This is so true, everything in the Zona is really close by. Hell, even the border is walk-able, I'm guessing maybe slightly more than a mile from PedEast to the Zona. No one ever makes that walk though, because...
Anytime you spend on the streets of the Zona is an opportunity to fall prey to bandits with badges. That doesn't mean one shouldn't explore... in fact I think everyone should check out the small bars to see if they like them.
However, the risk adjusted cost of making the 100 meter walk from Cas or Rizo to Chicago is much higher than the 100m distance suggests, if that makes sense. You're close, but you have to run the gauntlet.

The comments here have just about covered it all, except I might have missed the inclusion of Gold Palace. Everything RonJax2 said is accurate, especially about the Reddit forum. His comment is "dead on balls accurate."
There are many other clubs in TJ, but you would have to Uber there or walk farther than you want to.
