Depending on the prison location, and prison sentence, that might not be a bad trade off, but if she's getting 20 years? Yeah I'd keep my day job thank you.
She is one psychotic individual. Highly recommend the book Bad Blood for people who like to read. Most of the documentaries went light on her, probably because she is a woman and they don't want to come across as misogynistic. The bok showed just how nutty she was.

They say it's hard to cheat an honest man. Silicon Valley wanted to say they backed the young, female Steve Jobs who so slavishly imitated his mannerisms. They fell for stories rather than data. Even now, some of them can't admit they were hoodwinked.
Hard for me to relate to. I see a lot of speculative investment based on hype and not actual good profitable business, especially among Silicon Valley startups. Don’t they all overhype?

Holmes' scientific lies were not very sophisticated. A 5 minute social conversation with a clinical chemist told me, in clear language, why some of her tests were suspect.
All Tim Draper or any VC backer would have had to do was a literature or patent search, and request a retrospective validation study of stuff tested at a real lab, and they could have seen Theranos was completely full of shit. They could have wondered why their board was full of daddy's government connections and so few scientists or doctors.
Some people want to be fooled, they want the warm fuzzy feeling of having backed the female chemical engineering prodigy who wasn't. Holmes played these investors and their FOMO like a violin.

The issue wasn't the overpromising and missing milestones, it was lying about milestones.
