  I read in a general audience travel book about Mexico that quite a lot of that goes on. And then in the film adaptation of Tennessee Williams's "Night of the Iguana", the woman (played by Ava Gardner) has these two beach boys who swim out into the water to service her regularly. I have seen a documentary about the Roman Empire. They say that the number of male prostitutes was about 25% the number of females. SJG

  Yes, she should. And guys should be able to (safely and legally), also. It's a good country, but US culture is pretty screwed up regarding sex. Many other cultures/countries are too. Too often religion and moralistic attitudes pervert normal behavior and desires into the legal arena.

  Religion always seems to get the blame for this. But I think women have a lot different reason to oppose legal sex activity. Women get married to have a man take care of them, pay for things, protect them. Men get married to have sex regularly. If prostitution is legal, many older men would say. " why the heck am I married ? " Older women see this a a real threat to their lifestyles. So any politician that brings up the idea of legalizing it, women's groups will unite to make sure that politician is out of office soon.

  There are so many reasons why paying a provider for sex makes sense. It makes so much sense, it should be legal. But, I strongly doubt it will become legal in this country. It’s good the USA has moved to make marijuana legal, but the legalization of prostitution is a challenge on many additional levels.

  There is nothing wrong with her hiring a male escort if she wants to. From what I have read, male prostitution is somewhat different than female prostitution because female clients often want the male prostitute to act a little more romantic and a little less sexual. Commercial sex will always be more common with men than women because of the difference between the sexes. We had a strip club here in Indianapolis, PT's, where half the club had female strippers for guys and half had male strippers for women. The male stripper half had very few female customers while the female stripper half had lots of male customers so they ended the experiment. That half of the club is now largely unused most of the time.

  Just be a gentleman of leisure I remember clubs with male strippers in one part of the club. But they catered more to gay men than women and got shut down coz of prostitution stings and lots of meth use and sales.

  I have read accounts from male strippers. The women don't tip well, and they don't pay well for OTC. So they end up serving men if they want to be able to pay their bills. SJG
