I don't think so. It's more about self interest than hate, but it's easier to externalize it as dislike of others than to acknowledge it's about dissatisfaction with their own place in the world. Or how some other is possibly going to take something they have or maybe rob them of an opportunity they theoretically would've had.

But how many "exceptions" do people make in their biases to accommodate a person or business that is helpful for some intrinsic gain?
