Gerrymandering Extreme - Dems are the biggest abusers, duh

Avatar for mogul1985

Here are just a few of the states that use "creative" districting to help boost their seats. Meanwhile, the MSM, Dems/Progressives/Socialists/'low information voters" are squealing about Texas. So much for "no one is above the law."

If I didn't like what my employer was doing, left the office and bitched about it from the office of a competitor who was supporting me, I'm pretty sure I'd get fired in a matter of seconds.

The point is, the power grab by re-districting is done every ten years, not whenever you feel like it because you want to stay in power and silence melinated voices. And that's what it's all about.

If the redistricting process wasn't crooked (and dominated by Democrats) how would you ever have a district that's shaped this? Yep, this is my Congressional district #10 in NJ. If anyone knows anything about NJ, you may know that in the north (Montclair, Verona, Caldwell) are the wealthiest areas in this district, which doesn't necessarily make them all reliably "red" conservatives, but they definitely lean that way, except for a moderate number of old money white liberals.

The south part (Union, Kenilworth, Cranford) are made up of successful blue collar union types and probably some mid-level executives who made their own money. (A LOT of former Democrats who just can't go along with the crazy radicalism the party has shifted to, and also want to keep a little of their hard-earned money.)

But none of that matters, because they're all lumped in with East Orange, Newark, and Irvington. Those three cities alone probably make up 60 or 70 percent of the district's population, and are the most reliably blue voting blocks you'll find anywhere.

My boss also lives in District 10. He was born dirt poor, but is now wealthy by most people's standards. He lives in a mansion that's more like an estate. (I've heard his net worth is upwards of 15-20 million.) Do you know who his representative is? LaMonica McIver. You may recognize her as the fat tub of shit that was arrested along with the Mayor of Newark for violently storming into an ICE detention facility and assaulting ICE agents.

Can you imagine working your whole life to achieve the wealth and status that my boss has, and this is your representative, due to Democrat gerrymandering?

Forgot to add that reapportionment of congressional seats is required every 10 years under the constitution. States changing the map of existing districts, without changing the number of seats can be done at any time at all and is not Constitutionally limited to once every ten years, despite all the lies that the left and their fake media have been spouting.

OP, your post is full of projection. The reason gerrymandering is in the news is because there is a "Five-alarm fire for democracy" as Texas attempts to redraw it's districts, prompting a potential arms race in New York and California. mysanantonio.com The reason you're blaming democrats is because you know what you're own side is doing is wrong: like I said, projection.

I could just as easily post screenshots of red-states that are already heavily gerrymandered: Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, North Carolina, etc.

But I want to make this point instead: the new Texas map relies heavily on republican Latino voters. If republican Latino voters in 2026 are happy with the Trump administration, he probably nets these 5 seats in this gerrymander play.

My intuition says raids by masked ICE bandits on Latino neighborhoods, illegal deportations without hearings, the torture of immigrants in foreign prisons and concentration camps like "Alligator Alcatraz" within our borders is going to weigh heavily on the average republican Latino voter in Texas next cycle. So will inflation and the declining value of the dollar.

And if there is a blue shift in the Latino vote, TX-GOP is completely fucked with this new map. TX could even wind up blue in the next presidential election if Trump keeps up his cruel, dictatorial, lawless and racist policies.

The idea to Gerrymander is to shove all the minority party in a few districts and spread out the majority party to the rest. You already see it in Texas, Crockett got 85% of the vote in her district, many democratic races were won by 75%.

You will not see that in California, 2 republican wins were at 65% but most were competitive under 60%. California did not Gerrymander, the issue is republicans lost a lot of close races. The issue in California and Massachusetts is republicans are not popular.

Now you want to Gerrymander California, it would be easy to do, the democrats could pick up 7 seats easy. It is going on the ballot, if Texas follows Trumps order and changes districts, so will California.

Here is an idea, instead of cheating, why not have Trump do a better job

The simple fact is that Texas also redrew its' map in 2003, which wasn't ten years assholes, and since back then Democrats were Americans instead of fucked up foreign garbage and progressives, no one whined like little bitches.

go ahead, follow Trumps order and redraw your map. You will lose seats in the end. Florida said they could maybe get one more seat, translation they are already Gerrymandered to the max

Constitutionally districts should only be redrawn in ways that each district has equal populations. The federal voting rights act of 1965 only allows states to use other criteria so as to give underrepresented groups more access to voting and representation.

What Texas is doing is illegal and unconstitutional

But keep up the tin foil hat pedo circle jerk

@Ronjax2 And you response is a pile even flies wouldn't touch. In TEXAS, the Legislature can update when it wants. Where is the "Five-alarm fire for Democracy?" Rather than stand-up, the Dems ran away like cowards. The USA is a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC. Nowhere in the Constitution or Declaration of Independence does it mention "Democracy" which is mob-rule.

"Gerrymandering" comes from Elbridge Gerry (Democratic-Republican) governor of Massachusetts in 1812 which is a direct ancestor of today’s Democratic Party. A Boston newspaper, BOSTON, mocked the map's shape, combining "Gerry" and "salamander." Look at the Dem states and their "Gerrymandered" districts.

The images I posted are perverted to maximize Dem districts - the best salamanders are along the eastern coast of NJ, the Pacific Coast for CA, and that lizard snaking up in IL.

Texas has the legal right. Every Dem that bugged-out is actually anti-Democracy, to use your words, as they ran away like Robin Hood soiling his underwear in "The Holy Grail."

Face it, the redistricting is going to happen. The only thing the Dems are doing is stalling the process which is about as childish as it gets. Chuck Schumer is the #1 shithead blocking Trumps' nominees in the Senate and demanding a $1B extortion to support them. The Dems only see OUR DOLLARS TO SPEND. I'm glad to see Texas telling Dems BOHICA and again and again - get the KY ready or it's gonna hurt.

Anyone who lives in these pervert Dem states understands exactly what the Dems have been allowed to get a way with.

Using a computerized process, not created by Progressive developers, would be the best way, and even at that it would have to go through human analysis with equal party party review. Hochel is still feeling the pain what the NYS Court did to her. Whiny little bitch she is.

@mogul1985 nothing I wrote is TDS, all this shit is happening in Trump's America whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.

Masked ICE bandits on Latino neighborhoods. There are too many sources to link here so take your pick:

  • ICE raids push Latino communities into hiding, businesses impacted youtube.com
  • Latino neighborhoods overwhelmingly targeted in immigration raids latimes.com
  • Immigration Agents Urinate on a Public School. nytimes.com

The torture of immigrants in foreign prisons. ‘Welcome to hell’: Inside the megaprison where the U.S. deported migrants - washingtonpost.com

Concentration camps like "Alligator Alcatraz" Detained immigrants at ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ recount conditions. apnews.com

I understand why you want to stick your head in the sand and pretend this shit isn't happening but it is and what's worse you voted for it. Your lizard brain, if you let it, is going to try to rationalize your way out of this, but it won't change the fundamental truth.

In any case, nothing you've said disputes the claim I'm making: this Texas gerrymander will backfire when Latino voters shift blue in response to the unconscionable racism and human rights crises-es this administration has created.

Stop tripping and trying to "color correct," it is about race because folk are afraid of losing power because of it. If it wasn't, why do folks fight so hard to repress and destroy the last vestiges of the Voting Rights Act? Why are people being dropped from voting roles in such huge numbers for every little microscopic perceived infraction. Be real and honest about the racism and say it with your full chest! Racism is a tool used in the acquisition of power. Why else would simpletons buy into the co-opted MAGA version of DEI. Qualified, confident people aren't insecure and welcome real competition based on actual skills and qualifications. They don't blame others for their shortcomings or succumb to fear mongering.

Irony: the dems want to give illegal aliens the right to vote in elections, and do not want lawfully elected representatives to rebalance districts if those new districts cannot guarantee democrat party votes in perpetuity.

@icey States are responsible for voting. Each state has it own rules, regulations and processes. "Typically", re-districting occurs after the 10-year Census which is reasonable - as long as illegals are COUNTED but not included to calculating federal funding and House Seats. Keyword=typical.

I don't see Dems filing lawsuits in Texas over this, what I see are Dems turning tail and running away like dickless, bitch cowards.

After Trump lost the 2020 election, he did rallies over and over and over and then re-elected in 2024. He got his message across what he'd do, AND HE IS WALKING HIS TALK like it or not he won, unlike so many politicians don't especially Dems.

He never stopped even when he was SHOT. Dems dragged him to court over and over and over. He won 2024 so BOHICA only this time he spent 4 years developing a plan and how to execute it. and he is walking his election talk, and exactly what he has been saying for over 45 years. Go back and look at his interviews, he is consistent.

Harris is "disengaging." Why isn't she doing rally after rally after rally to 10s of 1,000s of people lining up a day before to run for CA Gov or POTUS in 2028 to support "Democracy." The Dems just run away, throw tantrums and take off to Liberal enclaves like IL only to go back and get the beat-down they deserve . And I'm not asking YOU why she is doing what she is doing, I can see what she is does.

The Dems did a stunt that is a loser for them. They are afraid more radical Dems will primary them out. This just keeps getting better and better.

"Typical" is not a law or in the US or TX or any states' Constitution. Only a dickless bitch ass progressive would say this. Take care of you pork tapeworm, it is winning.
