If people still want extend quarantines/lockdowns over some 400,000 deaths in six months, then why don't they call for bans on automobiles, where well over a million people die each year. It just shows how ridiculous so many things have gotten in recent years.
1.2 Million People Die In Car Accidents Each Year. Why No Coronavirus Ban.

It's a big problem that probably needs more government regulation.
I mean the big solution is permanently take away drunk driver licences
Yes that is what we need and always the best answer more government.
Yes there are a lot of automobile deaths and that is why there are numerous laws and regulations to protect the public from them.
Yes there are a lot of covid19 deaths and that is why there are numerous laws and regulations to protect the public from it.
The same can be said of guns, explosive, drugs and many other dangerous things.
By equating covid19 deaths and automotive deaths are you saying the should be as many restrictions on people breathing in public as there are on people driving in public? Everyone should have to be licensed on following proper safety regulations, carry insurance in case the spread it to someone else, be required to maintain a minimum safe distance from others (aka social distancing) etc?
Maybe with all the dangers in real life we should be quarantined forever...
ya... right...
Auto deaths are too high and we should take steps to decrease them. So we have traffic laws, seat belts, air bags, and laws against drinking and driving.
In the same way we should take reasonable steps to halt the spread of Covid-19. Wearing masks and social distancing and lockdowns have saved lives.
1.2 million WW deaths.

36,560 auto deaths in the U.S. in 2018. 117,000+ COVID-19 deaths in the U.S thus far in 2020 (and it’s just June). But go on . . .
